I am licensed in GA and MA. I specialize in anxiety especially related to: self-esteem, life transitions/adjustments and relationships. I love working with other providers, healers, parents, teachers and caretakers who are struggling with burn out, struggling to find balance in their lives, and perhaps dealing with their own health and chronic health issues. In this field we often support and hold space for others without recognizing our own limits, exhaustion, sickness, chronic health issues, and need for love and support for ourselves. I value a space where we can partner to create boundaries, healing, and support for self.

I strongly affirm and am well-informed about queer and trans identities, neurodiversity, racialized & multiracial identities, consensual non-monogamy, kink & BDSM, and body neutrality & positivity.
As LGBTQ+ people, our lives are nuanced and frequently challenging. Because the scripts exclude us, we create our own stories painstakingly from scratch against specific and often intersecting forms of adversity. I'm here to empower you.
Informed by a liberation-based existential framework, I embrace your personal point of view and your cultural context. As a relational therapist, I will work to provide a secure base for you to move toward the changes you want to make. We can work together to integrate complex histories with the current story you're divining for yourself.

Let's be honest - it's hard out here. Existing in this world is heavy, and many of us struggle with anxiety, burnout, people-pleasing, and other painful emotions. Unfortunately, most of us experience traumatic events, childhoods, or relationships, leaving us feeling disconnected from our sense of self.
Whatever is showing up for you now, I am here to listen, witness your story, and work with you to rebuild your sense of self-worth, self-trust, and safety. Together, we can safely explore and process your experiences and build a toolkit of skills that can help you move forward, set boundaries, and advocate for yourself.

Talking about sex can be very uncomfortable and feel awkward. It can be made worse by issues with our pelvic floor or reproductive system. This can leave you feeling disconnected from your body and/or your partner. Maybe you're noticing that you're avoiding sex or having sex that is painful or not pleasurable. Confusion, loneliness, shame, frustration are all common emotions that show up when we want something different in our sex lives but don't know how. I specialize in helping individuals and couples struggling with sex and pelvic floor dysfunction reconnect to themselves and each other through somatic and sex based therapies.

Hi I’m Dr. Seyi Amosu. I'm a therapist with a background in community organizing. In other words, I am a co-conspirator in change. I help people re-connect with their curiosity, intuition, and imagination. Therapy is a process of coming home to yourself: connecting with your intuition, growing trust in your instincts and developing compassion for your emotions. Together we ask the question: how can you get free? As a therapist, I focus on changing clients’ relationship to their problems. Together, we identify patterns that reinforce pain internalized from the outside world and discover opportunities for agency.

Do you feel disconnected from your purpose? Do you wonder what is preventing you from embracing your gifts and following your intuition? Maybe you’ve heard conflicting messages from family, community, religion, or society, and you’re wondering who you really are. As Audre Lorde gently reminds us, “our feelings are our most genuine paths to knowledge.”
Your feelings matter, your experiences matter, and your healing matters. You don’t have to navigate this world alone. It would be an honor to walk with you.

Sex-Positive, Kink Allied Therapists
Why might an individual want to see a sex-positive, kink-allied therapist?
A sex-positive or kinky individual may want to see a sex-positive, kink-allied therapist because the client may feel safer and more supported discussing their experiences and challenges. A therapist who identifies as kink-friendly will have experience with clients having diverse sexual preferences and will likely be nonjudgmental and supportive about issues brought to the table. It is important to note that sex-positive, kink-allied individuals may find equal success with therapists who do not have such specialized knowledge and background. The most important factor in the success of therapy is for the client and practitioner to form a strong, trusting bond.
Do therapists have special training to gain expertise in sex-positive, kink-allied treatment?
Generally, no. There are limited training programs and unofficial accreditations that therapists can pursue, but a therapist’s expertise will ultimately come from their previous experience with similar clients, their engagement with organizations that promote sex positivity or kink-allied lifestyles, and the importance they place on safety and cultural sensitivity.
How can individuals recognize a good sex-positive, kink-allied therapist?
An experienced therapist is able to help clients explore their sexual identity and expression and relieve any discomfort or stigma attached to discussing such matters and the client’s overall challenges. A therapist who is sex-positive and kink-allied is able to create an environment that honors a client’s experience and sexual preferences. To recognize a good therapist, clients can simply ask directly about topics and issues important to them and gauge their comfort level and connection with a clinician based on the responses.
Can clients benefit from having a therapist with a focus on sex positivity and alternative sexual lifestyles?
Some individuals may feel most comfortable knowing that the clinician they’re working with has a commitment to creating an atmosphere of sex positivity and has experience with relationship diversity and alternative relationship structures. Working with a sex-positive, kink-allied therapist may help clients respect their own challenges and improve identity-affirming treatment.
