I help adults identify and heal childhood trauma that may be contributing to feeling stuck or difficulties in relationships and attachments. By improving interpersonal skills and social functioning, I support people in enhancing their emotional well-being and relationships. I also have a deep passion for working with children and families to address trauma early in life. This includes coaching parents and caregivers to strengthen emotional connections with their children, and supporting young mothers and their infants. My work often focuses on the roots of trauma, including those embedded in intergenerational patterns and narratives

Understanding how each of these disorders impacts your life is critical as well as learning coping skills to manage the impact they have on your life.

As a couple and family therapist, I'm passionate about helping people address all types of relational problems. These can look different for everyone, but they include anything that negatively impacts you or how you interact with the people in your life. I believe the stories we tell ourselves have a very powerful impact on our lives and how we see the world. Many times, those stories end up holding us back in some way. I guide the therapy process as you change those narratives to be more in line with the life you want to live. My goal is to help people create a life where they feel empowered, courageous, and authentic.

Many clients I see are dealing with issues such as Depression, Anxiety, Stress, Grief/ Loss, Low self esteem/confidence, past/present abuse/trauma.
I use a practical common sense approach towards goal-oriented therapy. My focus is to establish a collaborative approach with clients, empowering each to acquire and implement techniques to reach their desired goals; enhance their overall functioning and well being. I primarily use a Cognitive Behavioral Treatment Model however, at times I believe it best to use a combination of treatment methods to meet each individual's needs; helping clients discover what works best for their success. I look forward to working with you and assisting you on your journey to becoming your best self.

I also have experience working with adults who are dealing with life transitions, divorce, loss, and parenting struggles.
Many things have changed in our world, and in my experience, there is a need for mental health treatment, perhaps, more than ever. Many people both children and adults describe experiencing the Covid time period as involving emotional hardship, social isolation, and for some, crisis of identity. In addition to the hardships of this period, at present there appears to be a continuation of various hardships, and a shortage of providers and resources for people seeking emotional support. My goal in working with all clients is to be a “keeper of hope.” I am passionate about helping people overcome challenges and improve self-worth.

If you struggle to communicate effectively with your loved one(s), if your marriage needs to recover from an affair, if you have sexual concerns, are wanting to effectively deal with anxiety or depression or substance abuse, I can help. I am also trained to deal with other mental health concerns. My clients tell me that they like the way I work with them. I will work along with you to achieve the goals we establish. With a name like mine you know I had to be serious about my education and training to become a therapist.
