I use Accelerated Resolution Therapy and hypnotherapy as primary tools for trauma, PTSD, and adverse childhood events (ACE).
I have practiced since 2002 helping people with issues that are disrupting their lives. My specialty is PTSD/ trauma, with the unexplained anxiety, depression, and body issues that have no clear physical cause. The accumulation of ACE that may not seem to rise to the level abuse to others or even the person in pain. We can get through this crisis together!

I have the most success treating anxiety, depression, and PTSD.
Do you ever feel lost, alone, stressed and living in a life you never imagined for yourself? It's a normal human experience to get caught by the hard times in your life, but sometimes you get caught causes you pain and suffering to the point you don't know where to start to make it better. You start to feel like everyday is the same, and you hang on to a hope that life will get better somehow, but it doesn't change. When life begins to feel this way, you feel defeated, hopeless, and drained of energy. Sometimes when the world around you feels like its punishing you, you're forced to examine yourself at a deeper level.

As a certified hypnotherapist with extensive clinical experience, I have found hypnosis to be quite helpful with PTSD, panic, phobia's, anxiety and depression.
There are many reasons to seek professional counseling. Yours might be feeling "stuck" or overwhelmed with depression. Perhaps, stress and anxiety have become constant companions. Maybe panic has been intruding too often. Has grief taken over your thoughts? Whatever your struggle, my purpose is to guide you towards inner peace utilizing a variety of emotional, and if desired, spiritual techniques.

Many have anxiety, depression or trauma related to their relationships or family.
Looking to resolve deep issues at the core of memory and experience in the felt embodied realm where memory reside? That is where we go. Utilizing body centered mindfulness based modalities we go to internal felt experience and the root of experience imprints, where we witness, process and unload the old burdens, and make space for the new, in order to free up the psyche and spirit to live the way you want to live.

My focuses include assisting clients struggling with depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, trauma, fertility issues, life coaching, relationship issues, and life-change crises.
Accepting new clients. Many people are hesitant to seek counseling because they prefer to focus solely on others, even as they suffer in silence. I believe in the concept of helping my clients work through issues that are negatively affecting their functioning and preventing them from being their best selves. I strive to create an environment of support and acceptance in which we can work collaboratively, drawing on their strengths to reduce the impact of those negative core beliefs and thoughts that are holding them back.

My clinical focus is bodily, emotional recovery from trauma, childhood experience, loss, grief, depression and anxiety.
and never understand how we could have lived or breathed without such soulful medicine. Maybe we will learn to reach out for help, and see that in spite of the memory of darkness and cruelty in this world, there is also such softness and kindness. Maybe we will know in ways that sizzle like magnolia buds in early spring and take us over the way pain used

I also work with people who have suffered trauma and experience symptoms of PTSD and ADHD.
In today's technological society, it can be challenging to remain centered and grounded. This can lead to anxiety, an inability to focus and concentrate, behavioral issues, lack of social skills, and other issues that are rooted in fear. I use a mindfulness based CBT technique to help clients find the source of their symptoms of anxiety and depression.

If so, I would love to help you work through your human challenges with depression, anxiety, grief and trauma to create the change you crave and cultivate the kind of life that you desire and deserve.
We are all perfectly imperfect humans living in an imperfect, but amazing world. We often postpone happiness and worry that we are not enough. We do not have to be perfect to be happy or live a fulfilling life. I am here to help you believe in yourself, be more present, harness your true potential and develop a deeper connection to the world around you.

My goal is only that you leave resilient, more aware, and grow into the person you desire to become with a newfound ability to cope with life's stressors and process trauma of the past from a holistic perspective.
I specialize in autism, acute stress management, crisis & trauma, anxiety, traumatic brain injury, and disaster mental health. I have experienced that a therapeutic relationship built on trust, and "unconditional positive regard" where you leave feeling heard can produce relief and healing.

Complex trauma changes the way our brains work over time.
I offer therapy from a humanistic existential perspective, which means two things: I believe that all of my clients have inherent worth, no matter what, and that everyone is capable of change and becoming the person they want to be. You are the expert on your own life. My job is to help you navigate your map and give you the tools you need to do so.

Trauma and PTSD Therapists

When should I seek treatment for trauma?

Not everyone who undergoes trauma needs therapy to heal, but many do. If, after experiencing a traumatic event, you find yourself struggling with symptoms such as nightmares, dissociation, irritability, or emotional numbness—especially if these symptoms last more than a month and are severe enough to interfere with your daily functioning—you may benefit from seeking out therapy with a trauma-informed provider.

How long does trauma therapy take?

Different types of therapy for trauma unfold on different timelines. Prolonged exposure therapy and cognitive processing therapy, for example, each take about three months, while trauma-informed CBT may last anywhere from 8 to 25 sessions. Other approaches, especially those that are less structured or that incorporate elements from multiple modalities, may be more open-ended, though many patients report feeling better within the first few months of treatment.

What happens if trauma is left untreated?

Unaddressed trauma can have serious—even devastating—effects on relationships, career, and day-to-day functioning. Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) can lead people to distrust or lash out at others, making it difficult to maintain intimate relationships; it can also trigger symptoms such as flashbacks or hyperreactivity that can interfere with a person’s ability to function effectively, personally and/or professionally. Some sufferers turn to drugs to find relief. Symptoms may lessen on their own with time, but there is no guarantee that PTSD will resolve on its own.

Can PTSD come back after treatment?

It is possible for PTSD symptoms to recur months or years after successful treatment. This is because, like most mental health disorders, it is not possible to “cure” PTSD, and stressful life events may cause symptoms to recur in even the most resilient individuals. There is no shame in re-experiencing PTSD symptoms nor in returning to therapy when such relapses occur; indeed, many forms of trauma therapy explicitly encourage periodic “maintenance sessions” to reinforce coping skills and ensure that symptoms stay manageable.
