My focuses include assisting clients struggling with depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, trauma, fertility issues, life coaching, relationship issues, and life-change crises.
Accepting new clients. Many people are hesitant to seek counseling because they prefer to focus solely on others, even as they suffer in silence. I believe in the concept of helping my clients work through issues that are negatively affecting their functioning and preventing them from being their best selves. I strive to create an environment of support and acceptance in which we can work collaboratively, drawing on their strengths to reduce the impact of those negative core beliefs and thoughts that are holding them back.

I believe that I offer a unique perspective and will work hard to develop and prioritize our therapeutic relationship.
Being a person in the world today is more challenging than it has ever been. Sometimes we carry habits and beliefs into adulthood that can make it even harder to live well. As we go through life we develop skills and interpret information in ways that help us to survive and cope with our environment. It is the brain's way of protecting us and preventing future pain. None of us are broken, but we may be applying skills and information in the present that are no longer helpful or relevant. I believe that developing awareness and understanding of these core beliefs and instincts is the first step toward healing and creating lasting

I offer a safe space through in-person and telehealth sessions for individuals, ages 12 and above, and couples, on weekdays and in evenings.
I see you. You can’t eat. You can’t sleep. Your heart feels like it is beating out of your chest. You feel alone. You put everyone else first and wonder when it will be your turn. You don’t even feel like the person in the mirror, so how can you hope to find acceptance from anyone else? Is your main concern your body size or shape? Your sexuality? The role others expect of you? You are overwhelmed by feelings you don’t even understand. You wonder if you will be stuck like this forever.

Your partner knows it.
Imagine a future with a sense of calm and ease rather than resentment and frustration. Or open, honest communication without fear or gridlock. Feeling prioritized and deeply valued. Experiencing more intimacy and joy again, leaving the tension behind. Imagine a marriage that reflects love, resilience and connection, and a model for your children.

New positions, toys, and even porn don't seem to do the trick, leaving you to wonder if you're even good in bed good or if your partner finds you attractive anymore.
Many couples notice that the spark has faded, and this can cause anxiety and insecurities in the bedroom. It doesn't have to be that way. Improving your sex life and how you commmunicate and solve sexual problems can also improve other areas of your relationship outside the bedroom.

Beyond individual therapy, I also provide couples counseling, family therapy, and group sessions, all rooted in the belief that healing and transformation are possible through the integration of faith and psychology.
As a biblical therapist, my foremost commitment is to honor my clients' spiritual and emotional needs. I recognize that seeking therapy can often be a journey of faith, and I aim to provide a safe and supportive space where individuals can explore their beliefs and struggles within the framework of their faith. What sets me apart is my integrated approach, weaving together the principles of psychology with the wisdom of scripture. Drawing upon psychological techniques and biblical teachings, I offer a comprehensive approach to healing that addresses the whole person – mind, body, and spirit.

It is my hope that clients will come away with a healthier relationship with themselves and others.
I value providing a safe-space for adult women that are seeking counseling support for anxiety/depression, healing from Adverse Childhood Experiences, navigating foster care/adoption, relational hurts, and grief/loss. I also provide therapy for children and families that are suffering from traumatic experiences, attachment wounds, loss of a loved one, and behavioral difficulties. I tailor each person’s counseling experience to create a safe space to meet their specific therapeutic goals. It’s important to me to provide a biblically-informed care for clients that desire to integrate faith into their counseling journey.

Couples Counseling Therapists

Does couples counseling work?

Research shows that couples counseling is effective; it can reduce relationship distress and improve emotional awareness, communication, empathy, intimacy, and overall relationship satisfaction. For example, emotionally focused therapy was found to be effective for about 75 percent of couples, and those benefits lasted at least two years.

When should a couple seek counseling?

Couples can benefit from counseling if they consistently struggle in their relationship. They may have lost the ability to communicate effectively, become entrenched in harmful patterns, begun to fight more than usual, broken the other’s trust, suffered from a mental or physical illness, or faced any number of other challenges. Many therapists offer free consultations, so if a couple isn’t sure whether therapy is necessary, asking directly can provide clarity.

How can I get my partner to go to couples therapy?

The decision to seek couples therapy is often driven by one partner, who then convinces the other to participate. When discussing the idea, the initiator should be direct and assertive. They can state the problems they see and explain how the relationship would benefit from therapy. In more serious cases, they can also explain how their relationship may suffer without making any changes or seeking professional help.

How does a couple prepare for couples counseling?

The anticipation of beginning couples counseling can be difficult—sometimes more difficult than the first session itself. Taking a few moments to reflect can allay those concerns: What are the current challenges? When and how did they begin? What do they want the relationship to look like in the future? Reflecting on these questions can help individuals or couples articulate their goals. Of course, the therapist will also ask questions and guide couples through the process.
