I believe that, as humans, we have the innate ability to heal ourselves. Sometimes we just need a little guidance. It is important that we are always moving towards something, whether it’s a specific goal or just striving to be a better version of ourselves. But we get stuck in old patterns of thought and behavior. It can get better, and I would love to help you get there.

Many people come to therapy feeling worn down from carrying too much on their own or confused by emotional reactions and relationship patterns that keep repeating. I enjoy working alongside clients as they slow things down, make sense of their experiences, and feel more connected to themselves. Together, we focus on understanding where these patterns come from, strengthening coping skills, and building healthier ways of relating. I strive to create a space where clients feel safe being honest, exploring difficult emotions, and developing tools that help them feel more grounded, confident, and secure in their daily lives.

We only get so many days. Let's use them well! I can help you regain control over your time, relationships, and emotions. You don't deserve to be always overwhelmed, always behind, and always second best. What if the reason you feel different is because you ARE different, and what if that's not a bad thing? My work draws from DBT, mindfulness, and values-based approaches.
My ideal client is thoughtful, capable, and often high-functioning, yet feels unsettled on the inside. They may struggle with anxiety, stress, emotional intensity, or feeling disconnected, even when life appears “fine.” They are seeking more than symptom relief—they want clarity, emotional balance, stronger relationships, and a deeper sense of meaning. They come to therapy to better understand themselves, regulate emotions, navigate life transitions, and live in closer alignment with their values.

I incorporate skills from DBT and CBT as needed to help clients learn tools to better cope with distress as we progress through their therapeutic journey.
Finding peace with food and your body is possible—even if it doesn’t feel that way right now. I specialize in supporting teens and adults who are navigating eating disorders, disordered eating, and body image concerns. I understand how complex and overwhelming these struggles can be. Whether you are dealing with a long-term eating disorder or are just questioning your relationship with food and your body, you don't have to face it alone. Eating disorders never occur in isolation. Whatever cooccurring conditions are present, whether its anxiety, depression, or something else, will be addressed, as well.

My clinical focus is bodily, emotional recovery from trauma, childhood experience, loss, grief, depression and anxiety. I believe in the possibilities for my clients to discover a second life-of joy, purpose, & renewal they couldn’t imagine at the depths of despair-struggle-change. "Maybe we will find a new purpose. Dedicate to an old dream. Maybe we will soften. Meet God. Taste the vast reservoir of our resiliency and strength. Find beauty and meaning in the simple things—like a cup of tea with a loved one while watching a yellow-tinged leaf dance into a puddle. Maybe we will find dancing or painting or writing or art or science

Dialectical Behavior (DBT) Therapists
Who is DBT for?
Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) is designed for people who experience extreme emotional suffering because they lack the skills of emotion regulation and distress tolerance. The basic affliction can underlie a wide range of conditions, from borderline and other personality disorders to PTSD and treatment-resistant anxiety and depression. The therapy is helpful to those whose emotional reactivity is so intense it is disruptive to everyday functioning and leads to frequent crises.

Why do people need DBT?
The ability to regulate emotions is a core psychological skill that enables people to function in life and pay attention to the world outside themselves; it is consistently associated with well-being. DBT is designed to help people learn how to manage and regulate their emotions. Originally developed to treat people with borderline personality disorder whose extreme emotional suffering led to self-harming behavior and suicide attempts, the therapy is now applied to other conditions involving emotion dysregulation, particularly when other treatments have failed.

What happens in DBT?
Individuals meet weekly with their therapist to discuss their experiences relating to moods, behavior, and skills. Using checklists they maintain, they review emotional experiences and positive practices they engage in. The diaries help individuals discern what led up to a specific problem encountered, this is followed by discussion of the consequences of their actions. In addition, individuals may meet in class-like small groups to learn skills such as mindfulness, emotion regulation and distress tolerance.

How long does DBT last?
Because it is intended to establish long-lasting behavioral change among those with persistent problems, DBT is designed to last six months to a year. DBT includes both weekly sessions of individual therapy and weekly skills-training sessions conducted in small groups. Studies of DBT have documented improvement within a year of treatment, particularly in controlling self-harmful behavior; nevertheless, individuals may require therapy for several years.
