Anxiety, Panic Attacks, Feeling Shaky, Haven't been sleeping, avoiding people. Feelings like you had as a child - most of the time, these are signs of trauma. And for most men, trauma is something we believe everybody else can have, but not ourselves. My passion is to help men make peace with their past so they can live fully in their present and thrive in their future. I love the quote, "Trauma is in the eye of the beholder." Today might be your first day accepting that you have trauma. Will you let somebody else be there for you? If so, I'd love to be that person! And Let EMDR be the resource that can help you find your healing.

I am licensed in VA and pre-licensed in GA. I work with people on the autism spectrum dealing with isolation, depression, and anxiety. I also work with disordered eating and gender dysphoria. At the heart of my work is a commitment to practicing psychological flexibility, the ability to stay present, connect with what matters most, and take action aligned with your values, even when it’s difficult. This allows us to shift from rigid patterns of coping into more empowering ways of engaging.

I specialize in offering culturally informed care and treating concerns such as trauma, self-esteem issues, mood, and parenting & behavior management. Life’s challenges can leave us feeling stuck or overwhelmed. I believe therapy can be a powerful journey of healing, growth, and self-discovery. My goal is to create a space where you feel truly seen, heard, and supported as you navigate challenges and embrace new possibilities. I take a collaborative, strength-based approach, honoring your unique story and cultural background. Together, we’ll explore your experiences, uncover patterns, and build on your resilience. In practice, this means learning new tools to manage stress, build healthier relationships, and move forward even when life feels difficult.

I am only accepting supervision clients. No availability for therapy clients. My ideal supervisee is a graduate student, associate, or licensed clinician seeking thoughtful, supportive supervision. They may be navigating clinical uncertainty, professional identity development, or complex client dynamics. They want guidance, clarity, and confidence as they grow into ethical, competent, and self-aware clinicians.

I work with individuals, couples, and families across multiple states (via telehealth) who are seeking support for various mental health challenges. Many of my clients have difficulties related to anxiety, depression, and past trauma that get in the way of enjoying life and thriving to their fullest potential. I also work with people who are diagnosed with OCD, schizophrenia/bipolar disorders, and related conditions. The foundation of my therapy is a collaborative relationship based on acceptance. I look beyond the mental health “condition” and seek to understand you as a person, influenced by your identities and past experiences.

"You just don't get it". "Forget it!" And just like that, the conversation is over. Nothing gets resolved. The "topic" is avoided. How can communicating be so difficult? After all, you all speak the same language. Somehow what you say gets misunderstood, taken personally, and what you get back is defensiveness and criticism. There's not even an attempt at understanding you. There's no interest, no curiosity. You feel lonely, discouraged. "How can I get through to you?", you wonder. You're tired of arguing. The same old bickering every time. Enough is enough! You all can learn to get out of that pattern. You just need HELP!

Before we go any further, I want you to know that you are deserving of the person you’re trying to become. Got it? Cool. So here we go. I’m Dr. Hill and I’m here to heal (see what I did there?). I’m audacious, authentic, and unapologetic. I believe in boundaries, transparency, and owning your shit. If you broke the egg? You broke the egg and that's okay because healing isn't always bubble baths and yoga. Sometimes it's messy. If you’re looking to process the childhood you never recovered from, your mother’s inability to nurture you, or a toxic workplace environment? You've met your match! I service clients in California & Georgia.
