My approach is direct, yet warm, combining attachment-based therapy with deep nervous system healing.
You’re the one everyone relies on—the one who made it out, broke barriers, and built a life of success. But inside, you’re exhausted. You’ve spent years holding it all together for everyone else, yet deep down, you crave more: secure relationships, boundaries without guilt, and the confidence to trust yourself—at work and in love. If you struggle with over-functioning, self-doubt, people-pleasing, or repeating unhealthy patterns, therapy can help you unlearn survival mode and finally feel safe, seen, and supported.

Using Somatic Experiencing and attachment-based therapy, I support clients in reconnecting with their body, boundaries, and sense of wholeness.
You may be a person who has done some inner work—traditional talk therapy, self-reflection, maybe years of trying to understand yourself. And still, something feels stuck: anxiety that won’t fully resolve, a sense of disconnection, patterns that keep repeating. You’re ready for something different. Body-centered therapy like Somatic Experiencing is about building the capacity to be with yourself in new ways, so that real change can emerge from the inside out.

My approach draws from ACT, somatic, trauma-focused, and attachment-based therapies.
I offer insurance-accessible therapy for people navigating the crossroads of chronic illness and trauma. Trauma can take root in many places: childhood neglect, family conflict, abuse, medical misogyny, religious harm, or years of feeling dismissed, disbelieved, or unsafe. While trauma doesn’t directly cause chronic illness, it can disrupt the nervous and immune systems—fueling inflammation, heightening pain sensitivity, and compounding symptoms over time. These experiences often overlap, living in the same body, the same system. Therapy offers space to reconnect with yourself, untangle confusion, and rebuild trust in your body.

I use a blend of EMDR, Attachment-based, Dialectical (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral (CBT), and Mindfulness-Based (MBCT) modalities.
I come across as warm and welcoming; you will likely find me easy to talk to. It is my goal to make our time comfortable and safe. I am not keen on homework and instead try to remain flexible to circumstances. I know the struggles of ADHD myself, so I utilize notes, scheduling and planning, and clear communication to stay on track.

Then, I use attachment-based science to help improve your quality of your relationships.
I specialize in helping individuals and couples to shift from an insecure to secure attachment style. A person struggling with insecure attachment experiences anxiety, avoidance, or both, making it difficult to create and maintain close relationships. Past experiences and lack of relationship skill prevents healthy, intimate relationships from forming. Developing a secure attachment style opens the door to confidently be yourself, healthfully connect with others, communicate to get your needs met, and meet the needs of others.

I specialize in treating relational trauma and attachment wounds. Many of my clients are adult children of emotionally immature parents who struggle with low self-esteem, forming healthy relationships, and fear of abandonment. This can manifest as having difficulty setting boundaries, chronic anxiety or depression, substance abuse, love and relationship addiction, difficulty self soothing, trouble regulating emotions, and a sense of unease in your own body. If you grew up with an emotionally immature or unavailable parent, it’s possible to find ways to prioritize your emotional well-being and growth.

Attachment-based Therapists
Is attachment-based therapy the same as attachment therapy?
Attachment-based therapy may be confused with what is called “attachment therapy” (sometimes called “holding therapy”), a discredited and dangerous approach to treating children with attachment disorders, autism, or other mental health concerns. Attachment therapy—not attachment-based therapy—may involve restraining a child, forcing eye contact, and other coercive or abusive techniques. None of these practices are used in attachment-based therapy and the two modalities are in no way related.
What should I expect from attachment-based therapy?
Attachment-based therapy is based on attachment theory, which posits that children’s early relationships with their caregivers strongly influence their ability to navigate the world later in life. Thus, adults who seek attachment-based therapy should expect to deeply explore their childhood, identifying the dynamics or experiences that disrupted their attachment and the steps necessary to overcome challenges that arose as a result. Parents and children should expect to explore the possible factors that disrupted the parent-child relationship and work toward restoring trust and connection.
How long does attachment-based therapy last?
Certain forms of attachment-based therapy, especially those designed for parents and children, last for a set number of sessions; for example, Attachment and Biobehavioral Catch-Up, a specific attachment-based approach for young children who have undergone early adversity, unfolds over 10 one-hour sessions. When attachment-based therapy is practiced on adults or combined with other modalities, it may not last a specific length of time; clients may wish to ask prospective therapists how long they expect treatment to take.
Does attachment-based therapy work?
Most of the research on attachment-based therapy focuses on children and adolescents. Some of this research shows a positive effect, especially for attachment-based family therapy (ABFT). Other studies, however, have found that attachment-based therapy is no more effective than other approaches to childhood depression, anxiety, or suicidality. Less is known about the therapy’s efficacy on adult populations.
