I draw from EMDR, DBT, CBT, art therapy, hypnotherapy, Reiki and Integrated Digital Therapy (IDT), which I created to support digital wellness.
Life can feel overwhelming and unpredictable. You may feel stuck, burned out, or disconnected, going through the motions in your life and relationships. You might be navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, addiction, codependency, or a significant life transition. Technology may be taking more of your time and attention than you want, pulling you away from presence, focus, and connection. You may be looking for steadiness, clarity, and a more intentional way of living.

I would love to help clients dealing with the traumas of life. Clients that are fighting to get their lives back to a sense of normalcy. Clients that are dealing with abrupt transitions in life or some form of post traumatic stress disorder. Having to deal with these mental hurdles while navigating daily routines and careers can compound the effects of the issues individuals deal with. I want to help these individuals find resources that alleviate and create therapeutic tools to help deal with the stressors of life.

I'm also a play therapist, which means we might mix traditional talk therapy with creative approaches — like play, art, sand tray, or even walking — to help you explore more deeply and connect with parts of yourself that words alone sometimes can't reach.
Are you feeling stuck in your own head, exhausted from pretending everything is fine, or unsatisfied in your relationships? As a parent, are you concerned about your teen’s well-being or identity? I’m Jaime (she/her), and I work with adolescents and adults. In therapy with me, we’ll use our relationship as a “practice space” to explore patterns that keep you stuck, challenge old narratives—like “I’m too much” or “I’m not enough”—and build skills for greater balance, connection, and joy. “We are born in relationship, we are wounded in relationship, and we can be healed in relationship. – Dr. Harville Hendrix”

Art Therapy

How does art therapy work?

The process of making art allows people to express themselves. Art-making can take many forms, such as painting, collage, or sculpting. The therapist asks questions that the work elicits, such as how the person felt while creating their piece, or if any memories surfaced that they can discuss. The therapist will then work with the patient to process their experience, understand themselves better, and work toward change.

Does art therapy help with trauma?

Art therapy can be a valuable treatment option for those suffering from trauma. Traumatic experiences such as combat, rape, or childhood abuse can be so painful that articulating them can be too scary or painful; creating art allows people to express themselves without words, and tell their story in a different way. The physical nature of creating art can also help people feel rooted in the body, which may benefit those who feel disconnected from their body in the aftermath of trauma.

How long does art therapy last?

The duration of art therapy varies, but a common length for treatment is 10 to 15 weekly sessions. Some people may see improvement in just a few weeks, while others may choose to remain in therapy longer term. Patients should periodically discuss their goals with their therapist to make sure the two are aligned on process and progress.

What are the limitations of art therapy?

Art therapy is helpful for many people, but a limitation is that it doesn’t have as robust an evidence base as other forms of therapy, such as cognitive behavioral therapy or acceptance and commitment therapy. The evidence on art therapy is mixed; some research demonstrates its benefits, while other research suggests that it has little impact on patients.
