Hello, I am Tamara Hunter, Founder of Womb Wisdom Wellness. I am committed helping women/birthing people identify inner strengths to prioritize their mental and emotional wellness. I offer holistic person centered approach to therapy rooted in empowerment, identifying inner strengths which supports growth, self development and inner healing. I work with women who may be struggling with anxiety, depression, postpartum, managing cultural dynamics, relational/family stress, career transitions, etc. As a wife and mother, I truly understand the various challenges faced by other women in regards to their career, family, relationships and self-love. In addition, I specialize in psychological assessments for ADHD, reality TV/casting, diagnostic testing, personality, disability, working closely with your providers to determine the best course of treatment. I also serve as an Adjunct Assistant Professor in the Dept. of Psychiatry at the Emory University School of Medicine

I have been a licensed individual, marriage and family therapist for 30+ years and married for over 35 years. I received my Ph.D. with high academic honors from the University of Georgia. I respect each client's ethnicity, religion and cultural background, and strive to be authentic and honest while providing a safe and compassionate environment for change. My approach to individual and couple's counseling is collaborative and eclectic. I work in different ways with different people according to their needs.I try to give gentle and honest feedback and help you understand what it is about therapy that is working and why.

I am a Licensed Psychotherapist in private practice in the state of Georgia. I help children and adults overcome the negative effects that stressful or traumatic life experiences have on how a person thinks, feels, and behaves.

I believe we need to feel it to heal it! What exactly does that mean? We all have an individual journey to navigate and the best way to attain balance is learning how to trust someone with life “lived” experiences, empathy, failures and successes. I am a specialist offering cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) with mindfulness training for anxiety (generalized anxiety, phobias, social anxiety, health anxiety, etc.), obsessive compulsive or related disorders, perfectionism, insomnia, and post traumatic stress.
