I work with adult and teenaged men and women whose chief complaints are of drug and alcohol addiction, sex and porn addiction, anxiety, depression, trauma, childhood sexual abuse & adult sexual assault, LGBTQIA+ struggles, and death, dying, grief & loss. My approach to therapy is centered around work that is transformative in helping individuals become aware of patterns in how they listen, talk, think, and act. I have found that when that awareness happens, a fundamental shift in how we navigate and experience our life occurs, along with personal freedom and power.

Hello! I'm Monique, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Georgia and Florida. I graduated with my Master of Social Work degree from Florida State University. I have been practicing in the mental health field for almost 12 years. I was influenced by my personal and family experiences to start the journey as a counselor and have worked diligently to dispel the negative perceptions of therapy within culturally diverse communities. As a working mother, I know what it feels like to be burned out, but have to keep going.

Ophelia Blackwell, is a Licensed Professional Counselor and a Stateboard certified Clinical Supervisor who has been practicing since 2006. She graduated from Kansas State University with a PhD in Counselor Education and Supervision and cognate speciality in marriage and family. She is also a certified clinical counselor and was trained as fellow with the NBCC Minority Fellowship Program. She earned a Masters in Counselor Education from Virginia State University, and her Bachelor of Science degree from Kansas State University. Ophelia believes in a humanistic philosophy to treatment which consist of trauma informed care.

I believe in creating a new therapy for each client and that you are the expert of your life. By building a trusting therapeutic relationship with you, I want to help guide you through the challenges life can bring. I utilize an integrative, person-centered approach to therapy, emphasizing Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Mindfulness-Based Therapy, Art Therapy, Emotion Focused Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, and several other therapeutic modalities. My clinical experience has given me the skills to efficiently treat ADHD, Adjustment Disorder, Complicated Grief and Loss, Anxiety Disorders, and Mood Disorders.
