I specialize in working with women who have trauma/abuse/PTSD histories. Anxiety and depression are major focuses of the work I do. Additionally, I specialize in the adoption field, serving birth mothers/families, adoptive families, and adoptees.

As a Licensed Psychologist and Certified Telemental Health Counseling Specialist (CTHC), I utilize videoconferencing to work with men, women , young adults and couples from the privacy of their home or office. I work with people 13+ to improve their coping, positive thinking, behavior, relationships and life skills. My background includes serving as an outpatient psychotherapist, psychological examiner, and completing additional training/service at: Philhaven Psychiatric Hospital in Pennsylvania, Atlanta Center for Eating Disorders, Georgia Tech International Living Community, and The Ohio State University Career Services Center.

Making the decision to start therapy is a monumental step in one's healing journey. My goal is to provide a safe, nonjudgmental, compassionate, and collaborative environment where clients can explore all the parts of their inner and outer world and make long-lasting changes that lead to a more fulfilling life. Utilizing a holistic approach to therapy, I honor the mental, physical, and spiritual components of our being. I believe the client is the expert of their experience and my role is to support them through their self-healing and discovery.

Deciding to come to counseling is a difficult one. My passion is to “walk along side” the person who ready to be challenged and work through being "stuck" from distressing experiences. My specialty is working with people who have traumatic pasts causing intrusive thinking/rumination; nightmares and flashbacks; and avoidance from others and situations. I am passionate about working with individuals and families to overcome underlying relational problems and to feel safe expressing their wishes and desires. I counsel with people who are dependent on drugs and alcohol working through what he or she is escaping from.

I work with adult women that are looking to take the first step in their emotional healing journey. I also work with women that are in, or are considering, a life transition. Additionally, I work with women who are experiencing anxiety and depression, or may be struggling with other life issues that feel overwhelming.

My passion is helping women and teen girls shine! Welcome! My name is Adriane Alexander and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the state of Georgia with over 10 years of experience. I typically work with clients who have a variety of issues. I am comfortable treating clients that are dealing with depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, grief, relationship issues, work place stress and women issues. My approach to providing therapy is to make sure that my clients feel safe. I believe that what we need is "already in us." Sometimes we just need a listening ear and support to bring it out of us.
