I am a bilingual therapist with extensive experience working with and treating a wide range of people and conditions. My responsibilities have encompassed functioning as a director, therapist, supervisor, an assessor, case manager, coordinator and advisor for client's services- adult and adolescents. My preferred style of practice is Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). It involves the assessment of thoughts, moods, behaviors, environment and biology in understanding the origin of clients concerns. Collaborative effort is emphasized.

As a therapist, I enjoy working with individuals who are experiencing life transitions (young adulthood, changes in relationship status) and utilize an integrated approach valuing the unification of body, mind and spirit. I enjoy working from a foundation of connection, with a focus on the healing properties of the therapeutic relationship. I am trained in Brainspotting and also use relaxation / visualization exercises to assist my clients in experiencing grounding during our sessions. My goal is to partner with my clients to assist them in working toward creating a meaningful life.

I have twenty-four years of experience in providing outpatient therapy to children, adolescents, and adults in order to assist them in overcoming the effects of these challenges. I utilize a solution-focused approach, because I believe that there is always a solution to every problem! I have experience in assessing disorders of attention-deficit/hyperactivity, behavioral and emotional functioning, cognitive or academic abilities (including learning disabilities), autism-spectrum, trauma impacts, and personality. My experience in these areas offers my clients a comprehensive evaluation with extensive recommendations for how to manage any diagnoses discovered throughout the evaluation process.

While active listening is an important skill for a therapist, listening can only go so far.
