Professionals' Relapse Prevention Group
Using Gorski's Relapse Prevention model, professionals with less than 18 months of sobriety complete and process weekly assignments designed to help them navigate high-risk situations, expand their circle of recovery support, explore their own patterns to identify Hidden Relapse Warning signs, develop a recovery-orientated lifestyle, and develop plans for healthy response to situations that may threaten recovery. Prescreening is required, and not all those in early recovery will be recommended for group work. Weekly group while completing assignments w/ semi-weekly individual sessions. Then participants then begin tapering group frequency down to monthly with IC as needed.
