Hello, and thank you for taking the time and having the courage to seek out a counselor! To help you find your best fit, I work with adults, as individuals, couples, and groups. I work with people dealing with depression, anxiety, relationship conflict, grief/loss, suicide/self-harm, parenting, self-esteem, and abuse/neglect. While I specialize in Christian Counseling, I also work with many people who prefer not to incorporate their faith in the therapeutic process. My style tends to lean toward Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), helping people overcome self-defeating thought patterns. I’ve been in private practice for 20 years.

I have deep compassion for those struggling with the disease of addiction. By utilizing my knowledge and empathy for these individuals, I am able to assist them in their therapeutic processes. I have over 10 years worth of experience within the mental health field, whether it be working with individuals in the criminal justice system or conducting individual, family therapy, and couples therapy. For over 20 years I have been involved in the mental health system and have had the privilege of helping individuals & families achieve their goals and overcome a variety of challenges (i.e. depression, anxiety, mood disorders, new transitions, relational, & substance abuse struggles). While speaking both English & Spanish languages, my hope is that each individual that I encounter will gain a better understanding of themselves, and also learn valuable skills to move forward towards a more fulfilling and flourishing life---to be able to find 'Peace of Mind'--within themselves and within their surroundings.

In your initial call to us we listen carefully to understand what your needs are and then match you with the best method of treatment and therapist to help you. We understand that calling for counseling is an important choice and offer excellent customer service to facilitate the process. We provide highly professional services in a peaceful setting.

Clinically, I have worked in the Community Mental Health system and in a private practice prior to opening my own private practice. I am trained in 10+ evidenced-based practices like Cognitive Behavior therapy (CBT), Prolonged Exposure (PE) therapy, used in treating PTSD, the Nurturing Parent Program (NPP), and Brief Strategic Family Therapy (BSFT). My passion is to help others to live life as the best version of themselves, regardless of their age or presenting issues. I believe that each of us is just one person away from reaching that goal of a happy life, and if I can be that for you then it is a win for us both.

As a licensed clinical therapist and school social worker, my goal, focus and passion is to help every person I work with meet their full potential by helping them with healing and understanding “The Process”. I am limited licensed psychologist who provides therapy to adults across the state of Michigan. I have over 20 years of experience as a psychotherapist working with issues such as ADHD, anxiety, depression, relationships, family issues and parenting, life skills and changes, trauma, loss / grief, as well as chronic or terminal illness. With support , encouragement, and expert insight, therapy can be the place you grow, the place you heal, or the place you learn to accept you.

My personal theoretical foundation is not limited to one approach. I believe it is necessary for counselors to be adaptive. Every client is different and our responses and approaches should be equally diverse. One person may need a cognitive behavioral approach whereas another would be more responsive to brief counseling. This eclectic approach will be applied to all clients. Techniques will vary between clients to best meet the individual client's needs.
