About
I am a trauma specialist committed to helping people survive & thrive after crisis, trauma or in times of stress. I also specialize in treating anxiety & depression symptoms which often go hand-in-hand with crisis or trauma. My work focuses on building strength & resiliency through a variety of techniques. I believe in a collaborative approach to treatment & I encourage humor, empathy & compassion as healthcare provider. I’m passionate about creating culturally competent & caring mental health resources for the first responder & LGBTQIA+ communities.
Since 2005 I have worked in public service & in private practice since 2017. I have experience in managing crisis, trauma & stress. I hold a doctoral degree in psychology & I am a certified clinical trauma professional, specializing in anxiety & depression. I am a national certified counselor & have experience in mindfulness-based cognitive therapy.
My focus in sessions is always on identifying & building on client strengths while we work together to develop creative & evidence-based solutions to their concerns. As daily life is hectic enough, I offer flexible hours & my goal is always to personalize treatments to ensure my clients feel welcome & safe in sessions to discuss their concerns.
