Hello! I'm Nicholas. As a graduate student therapist, my goal is to provide you with the time, space, respect, and consideration you need to feel safe, listened to, and accepted unconditionally. My approach to therapy is free of judgment, focused on empowerment, and informed by each client's identities and positionalities. Here, I want to acknowledge my own personal identities as a queer, white, cisgender man and to note that I build upon my training by attending to points of intersectionality, privilege, oppression, and social justice in my praxis; I believe all our unique life experiences are shaped by our multiple identities.

We could talk them through and consider the best solutions that would ease your mind by removing worrisome thoughts. Learning how to resolve some of these issues with people you relate to all the time will increase their understanding of you.

Hi my name is Melinda Nafal. My passion for helping others began approximately 10 years ago. Starting in a small community and working with various populations, I have gradually built a strong clinical foundation primarily in trauma psychotherapy. With almost a decade of extensive clinical experience, I continue to help individuals who have struggled with life altering events that have left them with emotional pain and suffering. My treatment stems from a holistic approach. Combining methodologies from Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, Traumatic Incident Reduction (TIR), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy as well as natural health.

Accepting new clients for virtual or in-person! Ages 11-Adult Sometimes life gets in the way of our happiness. Sometimes we just don't know how to be happy because we took on a dysfunctional way of communicating. Sometimes, we continue to struggle with challenges from our past (abuse, sexual trauma, etc), no matter how hard we try to fix it or how hard we run from it (physically or with substance). You absolutely can get past the challenges that are keeping you from living your best self. I've been in that tough space. I get it. You don't have to do it alone.

I have been a marriage and family therapist for over 24 years. With a Master in Divinity, a concentration in Pastoral Counseling, and a PhD in Theology, a concentration in Faith Based Marriage and Family counseling. I see couples and individuals with a focus on "divorce proofing" their marriage. Married with a blended family of seven children, both my wife and I manage an active schedule with strong focus on our faith, each other, and our children. My primary focus covers the areas of care provider supervision, marriage enhancement programming, and engagement/pre marriage preparation.

Relational Life Therapist. Cross cultural therapist. I help couples (and other dyads) get to the source of their issues and learn how to create the relationship they long for. Some dyads that see me may be on the brink of relationship rupture and dissolution. Some may be stuck having the same arguments with the same lack of progress and feel like Sisyphus with his boulder. Some may be ahead of the game and seek therapy before they ruin a good thing. All of them want to learn healthy relationship habits that stick. The individual clients I see often struggle with spiritual questions, self acceptance, and/or relationships.

The path to a quality world can be intimidating for people. I understand how it can feel like it is one that you are on alone. My work with diverse groups: adolescents, people that identify as BIPOC, LGBTQIA+ individuals and couples, and people with disabilities (PWDs) informs me of some of these challenges. My experience supporting clients in their path to wellness through anxiety, depression, trauma, disability acceptance, adoption/reunification, incarceration, personality disorders and relationship/intimacy challenges makes me confident in the progress we can achieve in counseling together.

It is possible that you may have a difficult time pinpointing what exactly is wrong, the important thing is that you know that you do not feel right, and that you would like for this to change.
