People are already amazing but sometimes life experiences, circumstances, illness and relationships can impose clouded judgment, maladaptive behavior, poor self esteem and obstacles from achieving what we truly desire and deserve. I am the type of therapist that is willing to be both vulnerable and open, speaking directly and honestly. My extensive work with adolescents and adults has taught me the importance of being genuine and down-to-earth, and thus, I work best with individuals who prefer a straightforward approach.
You do not have to be in crisis to benefit from counseling. From the problems of normal life to the traumas of past, present, and future, my goal is help further one's own ability to effect positive and lasting change in their lives. I also use a therapy dog, Reni, to give extra unconditional love, comfort, and support.
