It all starts with listening and exploring your story, what brings you in to therapy. For many it has been a long journey, for others something may have happened just recently which needs to be addressed, it could be dealing with a problematic recurring pattern, or it may be tied to things that happened long ago in the past. I use a person-centered approach, wholly focusing on you the client in the moment, bringing my training and my own best self forward to help you overcome the suffering that brings you to the office. I provide a compassionate, centered space in which to experience learning, growing, and healing.
I was trained at Bastyr University to use a systems approach, combined with therapy styles appropriate to the person. I specialize in the treatment of anxiety, depression and trauma. Other issues that might come up include personality disorders, communication with loved ones, aging, career, family issues, men's issues, grief, and more.
