My 30 years of experience (USN & DoD civilian) as an addiction counselor and clinical social worker taught me how to make this process less scary and easier. We can walk the path to overcoming your difficulty together. I'm experienced treating, trauma (PTSD) stress, anxiety, domestic/general violence, anger, and other issues. My therapy style is warm and interactive. I believe in treating people with respect, sensitivity, and compassion, and I don't believe in stigmatizing labels. My approach is humanistic in nature with a cognitive-behavioral, and existential approach. Therapy will also consist of hints of the stoic philosophy.
My life experiences, my own active-duty service & being a veteran, I can empathize with active-duty military, veterans', public servants', and their families' However, I can also provide assistance for your emotional needs associated with trauma.
