Therapists take on a number of different roles in their work. I predominately view my role as guide. One of the goals of this practice is to help clients discover a deeper sense of self and acceptance. Another intention of this practice practice is to help clients build and maintain the necessary tools they already have existing within themselves, and lead clients to new discoveries of living life in a more balanced and enjoyable way.
I tend to work from mindfulness based therapeutic approaches but would consider myself to be eclectic. Some of these approaches include; acceptance and commitment therapy, mindfulness based cognitive therapy, and experiential therapy. I know how difficult it can be to reach out for help. It can also be a struggle to find the right Therapist. However, seeking outside guidance in times of struggle can be powerful and transformative.
