I’m glad you’re here. It can be exhausting even thinking about looking for a counselor. So, if scrolling through the pages here is as far as you get today, consider giving yourself some credit. Seeking out, and participating in, counseling is inherently a vulnerable experience. It is my role to provide a space where, together, we can build trust so that you can feel safe to engage in genuine self reflection. The relationship between client and counselor has been shown to be the most powerful force of change in the counseling process. I've worked with individuals facing intersecting challenges: overall health, financial, systemic.
The human experience is complicated and that is displayed in the ways we perceive and interact with the world. My curiosity will help me come to understand the complexities of your experience and engage in dialogue without judgement. I recognize that the people I serve have widely varying values and I strive to engage in counseling work through their values.
I am flexible about which theories I use with each person, and I will regularly be checking in to see if the approach we are trying together is working. I know this may be a lot.
