I am a Licensed Profession Clinical Counselor. I have been practicing clinical counseling for over 35 years and have been in private practice for over twenty-five years. I enjoy working with children, adolescents, and adults in individual, couples, and family therapy for issues related to depression, anxiety, anger management, grief, trauma, addictions, involvement in the criminal justice system, and most other concerns. I employ a wide variety of techniques when providing services to individuals, couples, and families ranging from cognitive behavioral therapy to relaxation therapy to insight oriented therapy to problem solving.
I believe that the word "therapy" implies "change." I am proactive, creative and goal-directed in my therapy approaches to help foster growth. However, each situation is unique and the client's needs will dictate my approach. The "C's" of psychotherapy are connection, compassion, cohesion, complexity, creativity and community.
Providing services in a timely fashion is very important to me because I know people who reach out for help are often hurting and need to be seen as soon as possible.
