I have worked in the mental health/addictions field for the past 40 years. During this time I've earned three Masters Degrees: M.S in Clinical-Administrative Specialist; M.Ed. Counselor Education and School/Community Counseling and M.A. Forensic Psychology. I'm a Certified US DOT SAP and a Certified Advanced Alcohol/Drug Counselor. I worked as the Employee Assistance Professional at AU for 8 years, and am well-versed and experienced with employment issues.

Heritage Counseling has been offering mental health care for over 20 years. We have seven therapists (LPC, LCSW and LMFT) who specialize in a number of areas. We offer a wide range of appointments including Saturdays and evenings to accommodate today's busy families. I have several years working with adolescents and adults. I provide virtual appointments. I write the following evaluations: Extreme hardship waivers, Violence against women acts (VAWA), U- Visas, T-Visas, Mental Health and Substance Abuse Evaluations. I provide interviews mornings, afternoons, evenings and weekends. I work closely with your attorney to provide the best evaluation possible.

My ideal client has co-occurring issues. I have treated individuals with both mental health issues, trauma and addictions. One can't get well if both issues aren't addressed as both are primary. I find that this approach is successful in healing the mind and body.

Adjustments happen often on our journey in life. Adjusting to situations or circumstances can be challenging. Grief, trauma, depression, suicidal ideation, homicidal ideation, anxiety or panic disorder, substance use, alcohol use, sexual orientation, women’s issues, anger, spiritual or religious afflictions, teenage stressors, child behavior concerns, military transitions, and veteran support are examples that effect our ability to have an even adjustment.

Therefore, it's important for you to know that I am non-judgmental, provide a safe and confidential atmosphere, and am usually pretty good at helping people feel comfortable right away. I am honest and always provide professional and practical opinions in a caring and empathic manner within the scope of my practice. I also perform all sorts of psychological assessments if one is needed (i.e. diagnostic, court ordered, child custody, etc.).
