In my years of experience working with the adolescent population, I’ve came to the realization that this generation is navigating a world far different than the one I once knew at their age. They challenge our systems and pre-conceived notions of how things “should” be. Adolescents often feel alone, misunderstood, and confused during this period of immense growth.

I am a clinical social worker with over ten years of experience and licensed in multiple states. I am a U.S. Army veteran with much experience working with service members, veterans, and military family members. I have experience helping clients with stress and anxiety, trauma, abuse, sleeping disorders, and depression. I believe in treating everyone with respect, sensitivity, and compassion. I will tailor our dialog and treatment plan to meet your unique and specific needs.

You avoid going out and spend most of your time on-line. When you do go out you feel stressed, “uptight” or on the edge. You have fears of looking foolish or inadequate. Disapproval and criticism are a nightmare for you. You can’t fall asleep because of all the worrisome thoughts running through your head. Watching other people enjoy themselves and having relationships makes you wonder, “What is wrong with me”? You would love to feel less fearful and be able to socialize like everyone else. You would love to go out with “real” friends for coffee or on a date. You would love to have a restful nights sleep.

Ten years ago, I was meeting twice a week with a therapist as I navigated anxiety, panic attacks, and symptoms of depression related to traumatic experiences and family stressors. During that time I decided to dedicate the rest of my life to walking alongside others who are navigating similar experiences and feelings. I work with children and teenagers helping them process what may be a confusing or difficult time. I assist my clients and families in finding hope again, while establishing coping skills, emotion management skills, and a plan to move forward.

I have worked with couples, families and individuals for over 20 years as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and Licensed Mental Health Counselor.
