Seeking help or guidance shows courage and strength and is the first step towards your journey to healing and recovery. Often we operate in autopilot and don't take the needed time to work on ourselves or explore ways to improve our health and well being. I believe in providing a safe space, working collaboratively with you towards your goals with a non-judgmental and compassionate approach. As we build a therapeutic relationship we can explore feelings, where you may feel stuck, learn healthy coping skills and foster growth and healing.

I work with women and couples using a variety of approaches to address relational and personal concerns.
With over a decade of experience, I've learned that successful psychotherapy begins with a genuine collaborative relationship and connection with my clients - one formed in an environment of trust and safety, but with enough challenge to promote change. My style uses warmth, compassion, intuition, optimism, and collaboration.

I began my journey in mental health working with women and college students then transitioned into K-12 school counseling.
I create individualized treatment plans based on each client’s specific goals, needs, and strengths. Using the lens of Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy and Child Play Therapy, I believe every maladaptive behavior once served a purpose, and I strive to help clients explore behaviors that serve them better in the present.

I offer Telehealth counseling services to women residing in FL, MD, MI, & VA.
As far as most people know, your life seems to be "fine" and on track. You tend to not share with your family & friends how you are truly feeling - stuck, lonely, unsure of yourself, or what path to take. You are trying to manage these feelings along with work/school, a relationship, family/friends, and all the things you "should" be doing; which is just adding more to your already full plate. Your needs and time for yourself are often put on the back burner. You are seeking a change in your life and you are not quite sure where to start or if therapy will help you, but are willing to try anything.

I work with women who are looking to address the impact that the past is having upon their present and create lasting change.
Life can leave us feeling overwhelmed, powerless, and alone, especially when you've been affected by trauma. Right now, you might feel frustrated, out of control and afraid that the patterns of the past will continue to repeat themselves. It might seem impossible to break free from the feelings of shame and self-blame weighing you down and feel understood when you try to explain to others how you really feel. If this sounds like where you find yourself today, I’m here to help you move forward and work with you to create the future that you have always deserved.

I help men struggling with ED, porn addiction and challenges connecting with women.
On the outside, you've got it all together, but inside there's this whole world no one sees, mixed with fear, sadness, disappointments, old memories that won't go away. Maybe you can't sleep or you feel like no one understands the truth of the difficulties within. Possibly, you've tried therapy many times before but it just hasn't helped or been what you needed. If you're ready to share your story with someone, and receive nonjudgmental support, we may need to be working together.

Female Therapists

Does it matter what gender my therapist is?

In general, there is no relationship between a therapist’s gender and their efficacy. Some clients, however, prefer to see therapists of a particular gender, whether due to their own past experiences with men and women, or because they feel more comfortable with a therapist of their own gender due to shared life experiences or perspectives. Considering what one wants to address in therapy can help someone determine whether their therapist’s gender may matter or improve their therapeutic experience. The most important consideration is that a client is able to build a trusting relationship with their therapist.

Should I see a female therapist?

Many people—not just women—prefer to see a female therapist. For women, this could be because they believe that they will be able to better connect with a woman, and that a female therapist will be able to relate to their specific challenges and personal issues. It may be particularly beneficial for women to see a female therapist, for example, for gender-specific issues, such as sexism in the workplace, relationship issues, and gender roles. The most important factor in therapy is the client-therapist connection, and a therapist's gender as well as many other factors may play an important role in this.

Do therapists get specific training to help with women’s concerns?

Therapists are trained to provide care to clients of any gender. However, some therapists may pursue additional training in feminist therapy, gender-specific issues, or women’s mental health. Female clients may wish to ask prospective therapists whether they have received specific training in the client’s primary area(s) of concern, or whether they have worked extensively with women on issues similar to their own.

How can I inquire about a therapist’s experience in treating women?

It’s OK—even encouraged!—to ask a therapist directly whether and how often they have treated women in the past, or whether they have treated women dealing with the client’s most prominent concern(s). Competent therapists will be happy to share their educational background, preferred treatment modalities, and prior client experience to help an individual find the therapist best suited to their needs.
