I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. I have over 19 years of Clinical experience and I love helping people empower themselves to find their happiness, strength, and to find the most meaning out of their lives. I believe that many emotional problems people experience stem from the accumulation of previously well intentioned but flawed solutions for every day difficulties. These solutions often create secondary dysfunctional issues which aggravate the original problem. This vicious cycle is particularly relevant to relationships. Unreasonable expectations of oneself and others combined with inappropriate behavior in certain situations contribute to the downward spiral. Using evidence based strategies, I coach clients to make the appropriate attitudinal, emotional and behavioral changes necessary which can result in creative and workable solutions to their difficulties resulting in lasting emotional growth and greater satisfaction with their lives.

My practice offers individual, and family therapy. My areas of expertise include depression, bipolar disorder, sexual abuse and trauma, grief, and stress management. I have been practicing mental health for 34 years. I believe that I am exceptional at dealing with grief and loss issues, whether it be the loss of a loved one through death, a debilitating disease like Alzheimer's or grappling with a childhood where you did not get what you needed.
