I was trained by one of the top Sports Psychologist and Author in the country Patrick Cohn.
One of the major problems one can have is expecting perfection. What follows is loss of confidence, loss of focus, and later just giving up. I work with kids, teens and adults whom have the same issues of freezing up, worrying about what others think and having so much pressure they no longer enjoy their sport. It's because you lose focus and worry to much about making a mistake or embarrassing oneself or letting others down. If you have been feeling like your performance and motivation has declined then your mental game is likely in need of change.

Did you know that many of the world's most successful people in business, sports , and entertainment use hypnosis to achieve their goals? This ability is within each of us and many people just like you have achieved lifelong success in as few as one to three sessions resulting in much greater satisfaction and quality of life.
Hypnosis is rarely the option of first resort, but it is amazing how effective it can be even after months or years of conventional counseling and similar treatment modalities. Does it ever feel like others are able to achieve a level of success that seems to be just outside of your grasp? If you could find a way to change behaviors that have been holding you back, would you? Have you decided that the time to make those changes is now? With your guidance let me who you how so many successful people have used hypnosis to empower every aspect of their life.

I enjoy helping people become the best version of themselves. My passion is working with student athletes, past and present, male or female. Athletes experience depression, anxiety, guilt, shame, stress, and pre-existing mental health conditions . Getting the help they need can help enhance their overall well-being and quality of life which could also help their performance in their respective sport. Some issues affecting student athletes are performance and perfectionism, burnout, meeting high expectations, fear of injury, returning from injury, pressure to go professional, performance anxiety, family problems, and team conflicts.

Sports Performance Therapists

How does sports psychology work?

Sports psychology helps athletes identify and overcome challenges, such as perfectionism or a fear of failure, and improve key mental skills, such as confidence or concentration. By applying principles and techniques from psychology, such as goal-setting, visualisation, positive self-talk, and emotion regulation, sports psychologists help athletes improve their performance on the field and their well-being overall.

How long does treatment for a sports-related problem take?

The duration of sports psychology treatment depends on the athlete’s individual challenges, goals, the complexity of the interventions used, and even on the length of the season. A performance anxiety issue may be treated with a short-term treatment, like Cognitive behavioural therapy, while issues such as depression, substance abuse, or severe anxiety may require longer-term treatments.

How effective is treatment for sports performance problems?

Sports psychology has been shown to improve performance and help athletes manage their emotions. Sports psychology can be effective in boosting performance, team dynamics, and injury rehabilitation. Over the past decade, nearly every professional sports team in every major sport has added a sports psychologist to its staff. Many colleges have done the same, and even some high school programs have done the same. Olympic hopefuls may consult with sports psychologists starting in elementary school.

What are the limitations of sports psychology?

Sports psychology may have several limitations. Every athlete is unique and may respond differently to sports psychology treatments. Therapy can help an athlete reach their potential; it can help athletes cope with injury and pain, but it cannot change the physical limitations that may be affecting an athlete’s performance.
