My ideal client is insightful, high-functioning, and exhausted. They’ve survived trauma, lived in hypervigilance, or carried perfectionism like armor. They want to feel calm in their own body and connected to themselves and others. They crave clarity, deeper rest, and a sense of authenticity—not just coping, but thriving with intention.

Maybe you are struggling with things that happened in your past that are keeping you from living a full life. Maybe you have been feeling lost or overwhelmed due to difficult situations or relationships. Maybe you have been feeling isolated, lonely, or just simply not like yourself lately. If you are going through any of these hard things or the other difficulties of life, I send you loving-kindness. I love being able to compassionately support people like you who want to see meaningful and noticeable changes in how they view themselves and the world around them so they can stop being in survival mode, and finally just start living.

I weave practical tools like mindfulness and somatic awareness with deeper exploration informed by attachment, EMDR, and parts work to support lasting change.
Many people who come to therapy understand things logically, yet their reactions feel stronger than they want them to be. You might notice yourself getting emotionally triggered, repeating patterns in relationships, or feeling overwhelmed even when part of you knows things should be manageable. Often this happens because past experiences continue to influence how we respond today. I work with individuals and couples to understand these patterns and develop healthier ways of responding. Many people I work with are navigating life transitions, including midlife, when emotions and relationship patterns can feel very intense.

We all carry invisible baggage. For some, it’s a small carry-on; for others, it feels like a five-piece luggage set packed with trauma, self-doubt, other people’s expectations, and lingering guilt. Over time, that weight can shape how you see yourself, your relationships, and what you believe is possible. I offer a compassionate, supportive space to help you unpack these experiences, gain insight, and release what no longer serves you—so you can begin to travel lighter, with greater clarity, confidence, and emotional freedom.

It is brave and difficult to reach out for help. I provide a welcoming space for you as a compassionate listener. Using an eclectic style combining a number of modalities we discover what works for you. I listen and get to know you; both your dreams and your struggles. You may feel limited by and stuck in repeating patterns that are not working anymore. It is hard to find the way when pain clouds your every day. Sometimes it is helpful to start here; right where you are. I find that the here and the now are full of wisdom if we learn to listen.

Hello! If you’ve made it this far, I already know something important about you: you’re curious about feeling better even if you're not totally sure where to start. I get it. Opening up to a stranger can feel intimidating especially when life feels overwhelming. I work with adults navigating anxiety, depression, grief, identity, and complicated family/cultural dynamics. My style is warm, real, and grounded in the belief that you already carry the strength and wisdom to navigate your path. Therapy with me is more real talk, and less robot nodding. So, bring your whole self and I’ll bring curiosity, care and a few laughs... deal?

Accepting new clients! It is my goal to help people reach their goals and score those internal 'touchdowns' in life. Let me help you get back in the game! Traditionally, I have a background in business, sales, and coaching. However, after success in that career, I decided to switch things up and pursue my true passion! I have always volunteered and provided my version of social work to the community because I was that kid who needed that help growing up. I love talking and listening to people, so I returned to school to pursue my passion for it.

I know it takes courage to reach out to a complete stranger, but let me assure you I won’t feel like a stranger after the first few minutes. The clients I work with are functioning. They are managing work and responsibilities. Things look fine to everyone around them, but they have lost their footing. Their life no longer looks the way it was supposed to. Some come alone. Some come with a partner or their family. What they share is that they are ready to stop managing the gap between how things look and how things feel. I work with adults, couples, and families in South Tampa and online across Florida.

Another fight. Another moment where things didn’t go the way you meant them to. You tell yourself you’ll handle it differently—but in the moment, you react in ways you don’t fully understand. This isn’t how you want to show up—but it’s starting to feel like a pattern you can’t break. Because my practice is focused on women, I keep a smaller caseload so I can stay deeply focused on your patterns—not just your symptoms. Using CBT and DBT, you’ll learn to clearly understand and express your needs, thoughts, and emotions so you can respond more intentionally in the moments—and in the relationships—that matter most to you.

My ideal client is someone who wants to feel more like themselves again, or maybe for the first time. They may be struggling with anxiety, depression, body image, shame, or identity changes. Often, they feel stuck, overwhelmed, or disconnected, knowing something isn’t quite right but not always having the words for it.

Somatic Therapists
How does somatic therapy work?
Somatic therapy is a form of treatment that focuses on how the body and mind are interconnected. In this approach, physical symptoms are addressed because they may in fact signal emotional distress. Somatic therapists combine mindfulness, talk therapy, breathwork, yoga, dance, and physical manipulations of the body to help patients become more attuned to what their body is telling them.

Is EMDR a somatic therapy?
EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) is a form of somatic therapy, as it incorporates mental and physical principles. EMDR involves remembering a traumatic experience while allowing one’s eyes to track a side-to-side visual stimulus from a therapist. This lateral eye movement is believed to diminish the painful power of the memory so that it can be discussed with a therapist.

Is somatic therapy evidence-based?
Somatic therapy has been researched and studied, and some forms of somatic therapy are found to be effective in treating a wide range of conditions. Because somatic therapy encompasses many techniques, some, such as EMDR and meditation, have been studied more than others.

What is somatic trauma therapy?
Somatic trauma therapy is based on the idea that when people experience trauma, they can become stuck in the “freeze” part of a “fight, flight, or freeze” response. In this state, trauma can manifest itself both mentally and physically—through tension in the muscles, anxiety, and stress. Popular forms of somatic trauma therapy include EMDR, sensorimotor therapy, and somatic experiencing.
