My main specialty area is Jungian therapy, as it intersects with spirituality and myth. Before conducting therapy, my first profession was teaching. I taught at the University of South Florida, and Jungian psychology was integrated in with my teaching of Comparative Religion. This was also a focal point for me in grad school. I have studied and researched it on a personal level since the 90's, so for 25-30 yrs. In life, we follow certain rituals and/or myths. Sometimes those prescriptions need to be revised to find wholeness; other times, we need to rewrite the script & create new ones. I'd be honored to support you on your journey.

"I don’t need therapy." Sound familiar? What if I told you that therapy is for everybody, at any stage in life? Because, let’s face it - life can be hard, complicated, confusing, and messy. And you’re only human! You make mistakes and don’t have it all together. You may feel anxious, stuck, or overwhelmed. Your relationships may be strained, and perhaps you're feeling disconnected from your loved ones…or even yourself. Sometimes trying the best you can doesn’t feel like enough.

Emotional health isn’t a luxury—it’s your foundation. When you’re going through a major life transition like a divorce, custody fight, diagnosis, or loss, your emotions can feel like they’re in the driver’s seat.
Whether you're a man who's never been taught how to process emotion—or a woman who's been expected to carry everyone else's—you're not alone. Therapy can help you move from chaos to clarity, from survival mode to something more intentional.

In therapy, we get to understand our individual stories and work towards writing the future we envision for ourselves. I recognize that each person has a unique perception of the world and these differences should be embraced in a supportive and judgement free environment. In my therapeutic practice, I use cognitive behavior therapy (CBT) and Motivational Interviewing techniques in conjunction with solution focused interventions to problem solve solutions to develop practical and individualized coping strategies for depression, anxiety, substance use, and other severe and persistent mental health issues.

Talking things out is good. Holding things in, is not. If you go to doctors for your body, then why wouldn't you go to a doctor for your mind? There is nothing wrong with working on your thoughts and emotions, in fact, if everyone worked on their inner world, we would have a completely different outer world. If you're ready to start working on your self, your relationships, or if you feel like you're not achieving your potential, then give me a call. Please read my reviews by clicking on the Website link under my photo.

Psychosis Therapists
What’s the most effective treatment for psychosis?
The most effective treatment for psychosis is coordinated specialty care. In this model, a team of professionals works with a patient to address all aspects of the underlying disorder. This approach incorporates individual or group therapy, employment and education support, family support and education, medication management (which often involves low doses of antipsychotics), and case management to facilitate problem-solving as needed.
When should people seek treatment for psychosis?
People should seek immediate treatment at the earliest indication of psychosis. Symptoms include delusions, hallucinations, disorganized or blocked speech, and agitated body movements. Early signs that a person may be developing a disorder that will lead to psychosis include suspiciousness of others, memory problems and distractibility, an inability to think clearly, rapid or nonsensical speech, withdrawal from friends or family, aggression toward others, and sensitivity to bright lights or noises.
What if psychosis is left untreated?
Without treatment, psychosis can have significant repercussions, including injuries, job loss, homelessness, financial or legal trouble, ruptured relationships, and suffering for the person and their family. While early treatment for psychosis often yields the best results, there is no point past which it becomes useless to seek treatment. At any point, treatment can make a difference.
How do I get someone else to seek treatment for psychosis?
It’s extremely difficult to watch a loved one suffer from hallucinations, delusions, and other elements of psychosis—sometimes exacerbated by their fears of treatment. Have a conversation with them in a quiet space and maintain a calm, supportive tone. Share your concerns about behaviors you’ve observed, suggest treatment, and explain the potential benefits. Listen carefully to their responses. The person may not be ready after one conversation, but with time, they may come around.
