I am a big fan of mindfulness, DBT, CBT, boundary-work, self-worth boosting, and challenging anxiety and depression (amongst other things) to regain control and live the life you desire.
Hi, I'm Brittany. I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (i.e. therapist, change-agent, supporter, cheerleader, fact-checker, hype-woman, sounding board, ...) who is here for you. I have a diverse experience of working in many settings (schools, prisons, residential treatment, telehealth), with different populations (students, parents, first responders, paramedics, military personnel and families, incarcerated individuals and families), and mentoring new therapists pursuing licensure. I've been a practicing clinician for over 10 years in Tampa, FL with a focus on wellbeing, boundaries, and meeting you where you're at.

In practice since 2014, I’m a level II Certified Clinical Trauma Professional, am trained in EMDR and Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy, and have experience in most evidence-based interventions.
If unresolved trauma has left you feeling alone and helpless in a threatening world, or if the catastrophic predictions of anxiety have kept you immobilized, I can help. Using a holistic approach that addresses the mind (our thoughts/beliefs), the emotions, and the body. I work with clients to recognize and embrace the present moment as a safe place from which to connect with others, explore and take risks, and move their lives forward. You’ll learn to regulate your response to triggers, detach from self-defeating core beliefs, and utilize grounding and mindfulness techniques to find the lightness and relief you’ve been seeking.

I use meditation, mindfulness & holistic medicine solutions for cutting back or avoiding dependence on medication.
Here we go again, another day of feeling overwhelmed, on edge, tense in your stomach, aches & pains in your body with intrusive, racing thoughts that feel like they have hijacked your brain. Are you frustrated that you can't seem to reach your goals and dreams in career or relationships despite your best efforts & intentions, like something is blocking you? Feel like you don't fit in, "too sensitive or overly emotional"? Do you absorb the energy around you? Do you want to help others with their pain, yet you neglect your own problems? You are at war with an invisible enemy, tired of watching life go by while you are missing out.

Everyone’s path that leads them to therapy is different. You may be entering my office with excitement, reservations, indifference, anger or exhaustion. I am an unbiased, judgement free, professional who is here to help you navigate through this particular time or journey in your life. My own personal journey has shaped me into the professional that I am today. I am here to listen and help you accomplish your goals, whatever they may be

My work blends mindfulness and compassion with tools to help you take better care of yourself and develop new relationship skills.
When will it be time for you to be Happy? We so often put off our own needs to care for others. We do so telling ourselves it will get better around the corner...but around that corner, there's always more to take care of. Your needs fall to the bottom of the list. We can worry about arranging and planning so that nothing will be out of place and no one will be unhappy. Even fun things become a source of stress and tension. It feels impossible to keep everything on track and everyone happy.
