I use Solution-Focused, Strengths-Based, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy ( ACT), and Narrative Therapy to create a supportive, goal-oriented space.
I’m so glad you’re here. I specialize in helping young adults navigating anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, and life transitions. On the outside, you might look like you have it all together, but internally, you feel completely overwhelmed, stuck, or disconnected. I also provide a deeply affirming space for individuals in the LGBTQ+ community who want to feel fully seen. In our therapy sessions, we won't just talk about the struggle—we will actively work to understand your patterns, improve your relationships, and build practical tools. Together, we’ll help you feel grounded, confident, and truly connected again.

Using Acceptance and Commitment Therapy ( ACT) and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), I help clients define what matters most and build profound change from the inside out.
You’re likely someone who looks like they have it all together—but underneath, you feel overwhelmed, stuck, or disconnected. You may be navigating anxiety, burnout, grief, family conflict, or feeling lost in your career. You want clarity, peace, and a sense of control over your life again. You’re ready to understand what’s been weighing you down and learn how to move forward, not by being “fixed,” but by reconnecting with your purpose, values, and strength. I specialize in anxiety and mood disorders, grief and bereavement, career challenges, and family systems.

You’re a young adult or adult trying to hold it together while quietly falling apart. Maybe you’re high functioning on the outside but spiraling on the inside, or maybe you’re just tired of carrying everything alone. You want therapy that’s warm but real, not just someone who nods and listens, but someone who helps you feel more stable, less overwhelmed, and more like yourself again.

When was the last time someone asked, “How are you?”—and you gave an honest answer? I mean the real version, the one that sits in your chest and makes everything a little heavier. That’s where we start. I've seen what happens when therapy gets too rigid or robotic, when the humanity of it gets lost. That’s not what you’ll get with me. I’ll use evidence-based methods and also meet you with honesty, care, and a good sense of when to push and when to pause. I believe therapy works best when we can both be our true selves. That means awkward moments, vulnerability, unexpected laughter, and everything in between.

You are your best thing"-Toni Morrison. Growing through this journey we call life will unfortunately bring things you can't control & it's not always easy to cope & it's not always easy to talk to someone. Going to therapy doesn't "fix" you. It enhances you, it helps you to better understand why you struggle with certain patterns & behaviors & why you feel stuck at times. So, pat yourself on the back for choosing yourself, right now in this moment & for making the right decision to strive beyond where you are. Know you don't have to walk this journey alone. For MSW interns, I'm also a Qualified Supervisor. Please email for info.

Relationships can bring deep joy, but they can also come with real challenges. Even strong couples may find themselves stuck in cycles of miscommunication, emotional distance, or unresolved conflict that leave both partners feeling unheard. I’m Rena, a Marriage and Family Therapist, and I help couples rebuild connection and strengthen their bond. Healthy relationships are grounded in emotional safety, mutual understanding, and intentional communication. Using Gottman Method–based therapy, I support partners in shifting from conflict toward greater trust, closeness, and teamwork.

Acceptance and Commitment (ACT) Therapists
How does acceptance and commitment therapy work?
Acceptance and Commitment Therapy encourages a person to listen to their self-talk. A person’s inner dialog can be indicative of how they treat themselves. ACT also encourages self-compassion; this can lead to a better understanding of negative thought patterns and emotional states. This understanding can then lead the individual to needed behavior change.

What are the goals of acceptance and commitment therapy?
The goal of acceptance and commitment is to expand a person’s psychological flexibility, a trait that encourages an individual to live in the present moment and to accept all their thoughts, feelings, and emotions, even ones that are difficult such as sadness and anxiety. In ACT, this acceptance is congruent with the individual’s values and beliefs.

Does acceptance and commitment therapy work for depression?
Acceptance and commitment therapy is effective for depression because it allows the individual to view their discomfort and suffering differently. Depressive feelings about relationship heartaches, for example, are a part of life. A despondent person learns to let go of their struggles and instead view their painful thoughts and feelings with compassion. This will lead the individual toward positive change.

How long are people typically in acceptance and commitment therapy?
A typical acceptance and commitment therapy session is 50 minutes long with one session per week. Treatment for common problems such as anxiety, depression, or relationship difficulties can last between eight weeks to four months. However, more severe cases may require more than one session a week and/or a longer time frame for treatment.
