One of the most impactful concepts I’ve embraced is the importance of being curious rather than judgmental. This mindset not only shapes the way we relate to others but also transforms how we engage with ourselves—with greater grace, understanding, and vulnerability.
As a Christian, I hold the conviction that our spiritual beliefs profoundly influence every aspect of our lives. By combining a Christian worldview with evidence-based clinical practices, I strive to offer care that is both spiritually grounded and clinically effective

Many people are struggling with common issues. Sometimes all we need is just a little help to navigate the challenges that life presents. What we ultimately learn is that life's obstacles add up to exactly what we needed to develop us into who we were meant to be. If trauma has invaded your journey, breathe.....help is here. I am ready to help you lead a life that is worth celebrating. While we cannot change difficult situations of the past, we can work together to use those situations to help you grow, and understand life's twists and turns.

With children I often see behavior issues relating to their life stressors as well as issues related to impulse control or anger management.
I have extensive experience with mood disorders, trauma and addictions and work with all ages. I am trained in EMDR and use that technique with both children and adults if appropriate. My clients often state when they first spoke to me they felt immediately at ease and did not feel judged. I am able to assist my clients in seeing patterns in their life story and work to identify and change core beliefs such as "I'm not good enough", "I'm defective" or "I cannot trust others."

Maybe there is a moment when you are so low it's hard to get back to loving yourself. It's not as easy as just getting over it, right? Let's find that spark in you and get you to where you deserve to be, happy. Some people have a difficulty talking about emotions because they can not find the right words. And then when they find those words they end up misinterpreted because they were not communicated effectively, leading to a communication breakdown. Most people have learned to become passive or aggressive communicators, which is not even our fault.

How long does therapy take for anger management?
Treatment duration depends on the person’s specific challenges and circumstances. There are treatments for anger problems that are shorter and more goal-oriented, like Cognitive behavior therapy (CBT), which can last weeks to months. Others, like Dialectical behavior therapy (DBT) may last between six months and a year, while a more intensive treatment, like psychodynamic therapy, is open-ended, and clients may see their therapist for a year or longer.
How do you know if you need therapy for anger management?
Everyone gets mad from time to time. But when angry outbursts become frequent and cause damage to relationships, whether at home or in the office, it may be a good time to look into therapy. A therapist can assess where a client’s anger may be coming from, suggest strategies for averting angry outbursts, and help a client create a plan to become a calmer version of themselves.
Is there medication for anger management?
Medications do exist that help people mitigate the feeling of anger, but these are reserved for people with anger-related psychiatric disorders, such as intermittent explosive disorder, oppositional defiant disorder, or in some cases borderline personality disorder. In these cases, antidepressant medications may be prescribed to help with the client’s symptoms. In most cases of anger management, however, talk therapy is the recommended treatment, along with lifestyle changes where relevant.
What’s the best way to encourage someone to seek help for anger issues?
It’s helpful to express your concern and love for the person while framing therapy as a tool for improving their life. Offering specific examples of how an individual’s behavior affected either themselves or others should be done with compassion and with empathy. It may be useful to devise a game plan—breaking the process down into parts, such as finding a therapist, making appointments, and looking into insurance coverage.
