I enjoy working with eating disorders, depression , panic attacks, generalized anxiety, and perform bariatric evaluations for bariatric surgeons.
Does experience count? From an early age, people came to me with their life's challenges and problem solving. It always gave me a rewarding feeling while helping others meet their personal goals, find happiness, and fulfill their lives. So naturally, the field of psychology was chosen as my passion and I have spent 30 plus years enjoying my profession. I am interested in working with the whole person using cognitive behavioral therapy along with nutrition, health, physical, spiritual, coaching, and relaxation techniques and tools. It has been a rewarding choice for me!

My specialties include Sex Therapy, Couples, Hypnosis, Anxiety, Depression Chronic Pain and Chronic Illness.
Most of my clients are intelligent, spiritual and insightful, seeking enlightenment, peace and love. Many have existential problems, leftover hurts and traumas from childhood, low self-esteem. I have seen many victims of sexual abuse and other traumas. We move through understanding responsibility, forgiving self and others, and ultimately moving to self acceptance. I recommend meditation to all of my clients for the purpose of achieving peace, self discovery, learning to love and to connect with something much larger than the self (call it what you will).

I am a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional with years of experience in providing services to hundreds of individuals in the areas of trauma, crisis intervention, depression , anxiety, post-traumatic stress disorder and more.
I believe many adults are living an unfulfilled life due to unprocessed traumatic events that took place in their past. Present hardships may also encourage poor decision making which can result in regrets. Using biblical principles, I help guide individuals during their toughest seasons, and remind them that hope still lives. In addition to adults, I am experienced in helping adolescents cope and process traumatic events through evidence based techniques such as trauma-focused cognitive behavioral therapy. These events may include, but are not limited to rape, abandonment, abuse, divorced parents, and human trafficking.

Asking for help can be a very difficult thing to do. Many people think going to a counselor means that they're admitting that they can't handle their lives or that they've totally lost control. In fact, talking to a therapist means that you are taking your happiness into your own hands. Have feelings of depression , anxiety, guilt or fear been getting in the way of your happiness? There may have been a family, health or financial situation that led you to the place you're at right now or maybe you are just looking for more.

Depression Therapists
Depressive disorders are characterized by persistent feelings of sadness and worthlessness and a lack of desire to engage in formerly pleasurable activities. Depression is not a passing blue mood, which almost everyone experiences from time to time, but a complex mind/body illness that interferes with everyday functioning. It not only darkens one's outlook, it is commonly marked by sleep problems and changes in energy levels and appetite. It alters the structure and function of nerve cells so that it disrupts the way the brain processes information and interprets experience.

Despite feelings of hopelessness and worthlessness, depression is a treatable condition. It can be treated with psychotherapy. As with many illnesses, the earlier treatment begins, the more effective it can be and the greater the likelihood that recurrence can be prevented.

Psychotherapy addresses the thinking patterns that precipitate depression, and studies show that it prevents recurrence. Drug therapy is often helpful in relieving symptoms, such as severe anxiety, so that people can engage in meaningful psychotherapy.
