What if therapy wasn’t just about healing—but about reclaiming the joy, power, and peace you were always meant to have? I help high-achievers, overwhelmed caregivers, and trauma survivors break free from anxiety, self-doubt, and emotional exhaustion so they can wake up excited for life again. Whether you're a burnt-out therapist, a struggling parent, or someone haunted by past wounds, I’m here to help you rewrite your story—not as a victim, but as the hero of your own life.

You might be looking for a Christian counselor who "gets it." It could be that the marriage is crumbling but life after divorce is unimaginable. On the outside you look smart and capable, but inside you feel anxious and disconnected. You’ve given so much to your marriage and family that sometimes you wonder if you’ve lost yourself. Maybe you catch yourself thinking, “Why doesn’t he want me? Am I not enough?” Those thoughts pop up at the store or with other moms — constant reminders of the distance at home. You don’t just want to “get by.” You want closeness, respect, to feel desired, and to finally feel proud of who you are again.

Currently Accepting New Clients for May 2026! I specialize in Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) for couples who deeply desire connection but feel stuck in painful patterns. Together, we slow down the conflict and uncover what’s really happening underneath; the hurt, the fear, the longing to feel chosen and secure. I help couples move from criticism and defensiveness to emotional safety and responsiveness. Many of the couples I work with are navigating major life transitions including engagement, early marriage, parenthood, or the stress of building careers while raising young children.

When we feel overwhelmed, depressed, or stagnant it can be difficult to reach out. When we feel lost in our relationships, our careers, or question our purpose in life, we may not feel satisfied or content. If we think our loved ones don't understand us, or we’re afraid to open up to them, we may become isolated and lonely. If we catch ourselves in addictive cycles or patterns, we feel defeated because nothing we’ve tried seems to be working. Maybe we battle with anxiety and depression; unable to get out of bed. If only we could learn a different way. If this resonates with you, there is a way through.

With 16 years experience and a focus in helping families and youth with ADHD, anxiety, depression, behavioral/school challenges, ASD, etc, I understand the importance of individualizing therapy to best fit the unique needs of each client. We start with a free consultation by phone, where we discuss therapeutic goals and strategies we can utilize to improve you and or your family's life and happiness. I use a client-centered, strengths-based approach, where we work together to accomplish objectives. While therapy can be hard work, it can also provide a safe space to grow, have fun, relax, & learn to more thoroughly enjoy life.

Hi, I’m Cassie! I'm a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in Florida. I have over a decade of experience working with couples and individuals in a private practice setting. I love watching clients grow and believe that counseling is something that all of us can benefit from. I believe that our darkest and most difficult seasons have the potential to shape us into who we want to be. Sometimes we just need someone who can help provide the tools and the hope to get there.

I offer therapy sessions in person in a safe comfortable space, or online sessions.
Therapy should encompass the whole person: body, mind, spirit and emotions. Our human complexities make us vulnerable to imbalances, which may arise when one of our interconnected parts is affected. In other words, when one area of our lives is not working properly, our overall health may suffer. The agreed-on interventions will enhance your capacities, bring you increased quality of life and resolution to problems, and facilitate transitions to a place of emotional healing.

There are times in our lives when we find ourselves "stuck" and/or feeling like we are wading through quicksand to move forward. Our situations appear hopeless and sometimes overwhelming. They can be due to difficulties beyond our control, unresolved issues from our past that have resurfaced, or the consequence of wrong choices. We seek alternative methods for looking at ourselves, managing our situations, as well as the outside influences in our lives, but we don't know how to access them. We need someone to help us discover who we have become and how to move forward in a healthy manner mentally, spiritually, and physically.

Traditional, face to face sessions are held at my office which is centrally located in downtown Largo, Florida.
Hi there! Looking for a therapist can be an overwhelming process, searching for a good fit, wondering if this will all work out, and looking for the "sign" that you've found the right one. I love my job as a therapist - if you're not sure how it all works, that's ok! As you take the time talking through your stressors, identifying what is (and isn't!) working in your life anymore, and developing new coping skills, you'll quickly grow to love the time you've invested in therapy. My hope is that together, we can find more balance, build better relationships, and grow personal confidence to move forward with lasting change.

FAQ - About In Person Therapy
What are the benefits of in-person therapy?
In-person therapy offers several benefits that some people find highly valuable for their mental health treatment. Being present in the same room as your therapist can create a stronger sense of connection and allow for more nuanced communication through body language. Some people may also find it easier to focus in therapy when they are in a dedicated space and away from potential distractions related to home or work; attending an in-person session provides a clear boundary between therapy time and the rest of your life. For certain therapeutic approaches, such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), exposure therapy, or somatic therapy, being in person may be particularly important, as these therapies benefit from the therapist being able to observe and respond to a client’s physical cues effectively. Additionally, some individuals simply feel more comfortable discussing sensitive or painful topics when they are face-to-face with their therapist rather than on a screen.

When should I choose in-person therapy over online therapy?
In-person therapy may be a better choice when you need a structured therapeutic environment separate from your daily life, when you find it difficult to focus or feel comfortable in an online setting, or when privacy at home is a concern. It may also be more appropriate if you are dealing with severe mental health symptoms that require close monitoring or if your therapy involves approaches that rely heavily on observing physical cues. On the other hand, if convenience, scheduling flexibility, or access to specialists outside your immediate area are priorities, online therapy may be a better fit. Many therapists offer both options, so you can also discuss with a provider which format might work best for your specific situation.

How do I find an in-person therapist?
You can use Psychology Today's therapist directory to find an in-person therapist in your area. You can search by location, insurance accepted, specialty areas, therapeutic approaches, and other criteria to narrow down providers who meet your needs. Each therapist profile includes information about their credentials, areas of expertise, and whether they offer in-person sessions. Once you have identified potential therapists, you can contact them directly through the directory to schedule an initial consultation and determine whether they are a good fit before committing to ongoing treatment. When reaching out, it can be helpful to confirm their availability for in-person appointments, their office location, and whether they accept your insurance.
