Hi! Thanks for taking the time to read my profile. I love my work as a therapist because it allows me to truly listen to others and understand their unique experience. I believe this is absolutely key to success in therapy. It starts with compassionate understanding, and I pride myself on making every client feel that I "get" them. After that, my objective is to assist people in setting and achieving their goals. Here are some common goals that I work on with clients: improving relationships, reducing conflict, improving self-image, becoming more confident, grieving a loss, reducing depression or anxiety, resolving past trauma, etc.

If you’re feeling stuck—whether in your relationship, your life, or your own patterns—you’re not alone. Many of the people I work with are doing their best, but still feel overwhelmed, disconnected, or unsure how to create real change.
I work with both individuals and couples. I help couples navigate conflict, improve communication, and feel more connected. Many couples come in feeling like they’re having the same argument over and over again, or like they’re no longer on the same team. Even when there’s still love, it can feel frustrating and discouraging when things don’t change.

You have built a life that looks right on paper and still find yourself wondering why you don't feel more at home in it.
You've worked hard, achieved meaningful things, and become someone others depend on. From the outside, your life may appear successful. Yet privately, you feel disconnected from yourself, uncertain about what you want, or caught in patterns that no longer make sense.
Many of the people I work with are not in crisis, in fact, they are functioning well. What brings them to therapy is often a growing realization: despite everything they've built, they feel lost.

Sleep or Insomnia Therapists
How effective is treatment for insomnia?
The most effective treatments for insomnia are behavioral techniques that reduce anxiety, including anxiety about falling asleep, and allow the body’s natural cycles to be recalibrated. The most common treatment is cognitive behavioral therapy for insomnia (CBT-I), which researchers have found to be more useful than medication, with rates of success as high as 80 percent.
Are there specific medications for sleep problems?
There are many medications, both over-the-counter and prescription that treat sleep problems. Supplements such as melatonin are popular and may help, though there is little evidence that it is more effective than a placebo. Prescription medications such as zolpidem are sometimes prescribed.
Are there natural treatments for sleep problems?
There are many natural treatments for everyday sleep problems. Reducing blue-light emitting screens, setting a regular bedtime, regular exercise, reducing caffeine and nicotine consumption, and keeping the bedroom dark and cool at night are all lifestyle changes that can help those who struggle with sleep but may not reach the level of an insomnia diagnosis.
What’s the difference between having trouble falling asleep and insomnia?
Life events, stress, and anxiety can lead to sleepless nights for everyone from time to time. To be diagnosed with insomnia, a patient must experience trouble falling asleep, trouble remaining asleep, waking up too early, or non-restorative sleep at least three nights per week for at least one month. Sleep problems affect one-third to one-half of the population, while chronic insomnia affects about 10 to 15 percent of people.
