Hi, I am so glad you have found my page! I know it can be a little overwhelming as you scroll through all the counselor profiles searching for that perfect fit. I work with many professional leaders in the field such as nurses, doctors, first responders, and clergy that are very successful in one area of their lives, but seem to struggle in other areas. Such as: personal relationships, anxiety management, stress, communication within the family, and trauma from the intense work they conduct for others. I am a trained EMDR trauma therapist, couple communication instructor, and member of the SFACC.
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) providing psychotherapy to adolescents, adults and seniors. I strive to appropriately assess clients' needs, assist them in identifying their goals for treatment, and provide guidance, education, and encouragement enabling them to achieve their identified goals and experience a happier, more purposeful life. I provide mental health counseling on an individual and family basis.
My practice specializes in working with children and teenagers. I use interactive techniques including play therapy, sandtray therapy, and art therapy to help keep kids and teens engage and allow them to communicate in a variety of ways. I enjoy working with kids and teens, but most importantly, they enjoy the work they accomplish with me. I believe in treating the whole family so I additionally work with parents to provide parenting skills and educational support. I also work with adults, providing a person-centered approach to help them achieve their personal goals. Each person’s treatment is individualized and unique.
At Relieve: Trauma Healing Center, our goal is to help clients gain a deeper awareness of the types of traumas and their triggers, a greater understanding of trauma’s effects on behavior, tips for preventing re-traumatization, and strategies to manage symptoms and prevent secondary trauma. We aim to assist clients in healing from the trauma to live a fulfilling life without the remnants of past negative experiences. We provide both therapy and assessment services for children, young adults, individuals, and families using an integrated approach tailored to the unique needs of each new client.
My practice is focused on helping struggling readers in elementary and middle school. I test for dyslexia and other types of reading/writing & math disorders. Dyslexia is a language-based disability due to word decoding difficulty and poor fluency. Early signs can be detected, but it's not assessed in many schools and often goes unidentified. Reading problems cause significant struggle in almost all subject areas, which has lasting impact on both academic performance and self-esteem. The great majority of students can be successfully remediated with evidence-based explicit and systematic instruction in reading, spelling and writing.
My name is Olivia and I have worked with clients who’ve experienced a wide range of symptoms related to severe mental illnesses, women's issues, low self-esteem, relationships, and parenting concerns. I work collaboratively with clients using their strengths to support and promote self-empathy, and to help clients attain coping skills and emotional tools essential to maintain a fulfilled life.
I am accepting new clients! I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. I am experienced in working with domestic violence survivors and complex trauma as well as elementary-aged, pre-adolescent, and adolescents with various presenting issues including anxiety, depression, PTSD, ADHD, and adjustment disorders. My approach to therapy is client centered meaning that each individual, whether an adult or child, has full autonomy to make choices that either work for or against them.
You can work through issues with a trusted, skilled and compassionate professional, in a safe, comfortable and distraction-free place. Your life may have layers of conflicts, suffering, faulty perception or maladapted behavior, but nothing is impossible for those who seek help. My approach to counseling encourages and supports you to discover, through self-knowledge, your own process for a sustainable self-empowerment, balance, and joy.
