Pajama Forward Therapist here! We are called to an authentic life. One where we honor how our brains work instead of forcing our square peg brains into another round hole. I’ve discovered the magic of working with my brain instead of against it. I want to help you do the same. Much of what I learned in grad school doesn’t work for us. My clients are encouraged to show up authentically, even if that’s in pajamas. I’m a pajama forward therapist! I use therapy techniques designed for us including Internal Family Systems (IFS) and EMDR. They get us to the deep work and root of the issues.

I enjoy working with individuals who identify within the LGBTQ+, poly, and kink communities, each with their unique perspectives, strengths, and needs. I identify with that spectrum of communities, as well, and am familiar with many of the internal and societal challenges that come along with it.

It is so hard to be a human sometimes, we get overwhelmed in our mind & body. There are so many factors; high achievers, life changes, purpose questioning, hormone changes, and the rapidly shifting world and events around us can all play a part in the exhausting feelings many people live with. These things can have a direct effect on your physical health, too! The brain and the body are connected, and they will let you know when things are not in sync. This can be confusing for some people, they get stuck and don't know how to move forward, increasing those distressing thoughts that are related to anxiety, depression, and trauma.

I’m a Certified Sex Therapist (CST) working with LGBTQ+, kink, and consensual nonmonogamy communities. I help adults get honest about their relationships, sexuality, and patterns. My style is direct, engaged, and fully human—you’ll get honesty, presence, and movement toward change, not passive nodding. We’ll challenge what isn’t working, build communication and boundaries, and create relationships that align with who you are, not who you’ve been told to be. I work with individuals, partners, and polycules, with expertise in sex, intimacy, and nontraditional dynamics. Visit my website to request a consultation and hop on my schedule.

My work is primarily with thoughtful, capable women, bright and deeply feeling children, and families who are doing their best but feel stuck. From the outside, things may look steady, but internally, it can feel overwhelming or hard to manage. Women I work with are often used to being the strong one. Children may struggle with big emotions or difficulty slowing their mind or body. Families often want to better understand their child and improve connection. I help clients build insight, emotional regulation, and practical tools so life feels more steady and manageable.

Welcome! I’m so happy that you are making the steps forward. This first step is quite difficult. Since you're here, you should know you are not alone! I find myself drawn toward conversational-based therapy, where we are able to develop a relationship based on foundations of trust and honesty. When I say conversational-based therapy, I mean that I utilize a client-centered approach, while also using cognitive behavior therapy (CBT) to help challenge spots where you might be stuck and help you see a different perspective. At the same time, I am in no way the expert of your life and am here to help you navigate this world.

Gender identity, sexuality, trauma and intimacy are deeply personal and often complicated parts of the human experience.
What I see people need most in order to find healing is a space where they feel safe and unjudged. If my job is to help share your story, I would never expect you to do that before you're ready. Healing isn’t something we rush—it’s a process of unfolding. So, we share our time alongside each other until you feel ready to step into the next stage of you.

We are humans. We all face difficulties and challenges navigating life. Sometimes we are able to manage these on our own or with the support of family and friends. However, at other times, we need an unbiased professional for support. Whether you are experiencing depression, anxiety, grief, chronic illness, relationship issues, or other life stressors, counseling can help provide insight and coping strategies to address your concerns and symptoms.

Life could be so much easier—more peaceful, more pleasurable—if you didn’t feel so damn tangled in what other people think of you. You want to go after the things you know could fulfill you … but the fear of being “too much” still lingers. That’s where I come in. I blend neuroscience, philosophy, and personal kink to help people unlearn what’s been holding them back—and reclaim the kind of radical autonomy that makes real connection possible. When you stop apologizing for who you are, you make room for the kind of love, sex, work, and self-expression that actually fits.

I believe therapy is about active collaboration and discovery. Together we will explore how your current patterns either support your happiness or contribute to your struggle. Areas of distress are commonly patterns that repeat over and over----in how we cope, our self-esteem, and our relationships. Common psychological symptoms such as anxiety and depression can often be linked back to the way we relate to the world, ourselves, and others. You're the expert on you. Once we've identified the underlying patterns, we can work together to develop a new way of interacting with the world around you and the people in it.

I work with people who have spent much of their lives feeling like they don’t quite fit the mold. As an openly queer and neurodivergent therapist, I understand how important it is to have a space where you can be fully yourself, without judgment or the pressure to conform. I love helping clients deconstruct the stories we’ve been told about what life “should” look like and instead explore what truly feels right and fulfilling for you. Together, we explore how systemic barriers and social expectations make it harder to thrive, understanding how oppression, expectations, and social norms impact your mental health and sense of self.

Transgender Therapists
As a gender-diverse individual, why might I want to see a therapist who is also gender diverse?
A trans or gender-diverse client may want to see a therapist who is also trans or gender diverse because the client may feel safer sharing their experiences and more confident that the therapist will understand, validate, and support them. But trans or gender-diverse clients can also benefit from therapy with cisgender therapists; this is a personal decision based on the connection between the client and the therapist, and if that connection is strong, therapy will be successful.

What if I cannot find a therapist who shares my gender identity?
Therapy can still be effective if a therapist does not share a client’s gender identity; a large body of research indicates that the most important factor in successful therapy is the therapeutic alliance. A therapist can also be interviewed for sensitivity and competence on gender identity and expression to ensure they possess appropriate knowledge and skills. Many therapists have excellent training and extensive experience working with gender-diverse clients, and that expertise can be invaluable despite a therapist not sharing the same firsthand experiences.

How can I recognize a good therapist for working with gender-diverse clients?
An experienced therapist should be able to help clients explore their gender identity and expression, alleviate discomfort related to their gender identity, treat mental health challenges and trauma, address existing relationships and communication with family members and loved ones, and determine the next steps pertaining to nonmedical or medical gender-affirming interventions. To recognize a good therapist, clients can ask about these topics and explore their comfort and connection with the clinician.

How might I inquire about a therapist’s experience working with transgender clients?
Clients should feel comfortable asking therapists directly about their experience working with transgender or gender-diverse clientele. For example, clients may ask about the therapist’s training and education with regard to gender identity, how many trans clients they’ve worked with in the past, and what sorts of matters were discussed. You may wish to inquire how a therapist specifically supports the needs of transgender clients or clients questioning their gender identity. A good clinician who is nonetheless not the right fit for you is often happy to make referrals to others based on the concerns you articulate in a preliminary conversation.
