Sex addiction can have a truly negative impact on your family, your career, your relationships, and your health. Discovering that your partner has an addiction or is heavily involved in porn can be devastating to your relationship. You may feel alone and ashamed about your partner's behavior and have the urge to try to control how he acts. Although sexuality composes a large part of our lives, talking about it isn't always easy. When problems arise, it is even more difficult to discuss. Anger is a normal, healthy human emotion. However, left uncontrolled, it has the power to damage your body and your relationships.

My own approach to shadow work is inspired by Dick Schwartz' Internal Family Systems.
You've caught a glimpse of yourself unfolding the fullness of your capacities back into the universe. Sometimes you dare to believe this person could really be you. But how exactly are you moving forward into such a reality? Your attempts thus far have met with resistance, uncertainty, and excruciating pain. Some days, the very reasons to keep going seem to evaporate.

I integrate techniques from Narrative Therapy and Internal Family Systems ( IFS), guiding you to explore your story and connect with your inner parts.
I work with people who have spent much of their lives feeling like they don’t quite fit the mold. As an openly queer and neurodivergent therapist, I understand how important it is to have a space where you can be fully yourself, without judgment or the pressure to conform.
I love helping clients deconstruct the stories we’ve been told about what life “should” look like and instead explore what truly feels right and fulfilling for you. Together, we explore how systemic barriers and social expectations make it harder to thrive, understanding how oppression, expectations, and social norms impact your mental health and sense of self.

I value a holistic approach to treatment with the belief that “one size does not fit all” and each person has unique challenges and needs. I am especially interested in helping individuals heal from trauma and supporting them as they create new stories for their lives by drawing on individuals’ strengths and support systems.

I use EMDR, ACT, mindfulness, and IFS-informed therapy to support burnout recovery, trauma healing, anxiety, and nervous system regulation.
You’re the one everyone depends on. The helper. The high achiever. The woman who keeps showing up for work, family, clients, and everyone around her—while quietly feeling frozen inside but still functioning because you have to. Maybe you keep telling yourself, “I’m trying,” yet it never feels like enough. Maybe the thought of saying no, slowing down, or even calling out of work fills you with guilt because you fear disappointing others. I work with women navigating burnout, compassion fatigue, anxiety, trauma, and chronic stress who are tired of surviving and longing to feel like themselves again.

I know that the struggles of pregnancy, the postpartum period, and parenthood are unique and complex. You may be feeling alone or isolated because often others in your life don’t realize all of the changes and pressures that you are facing. As you embark on this transformative experience, whether in becoming a parent or adding to your family, it may be time to heal old wounds and rediscover joy.

As a counselor informed by Internal Family Systems ( IFS) and Polyvagal Theory, I help clients reconnect to their inner Self.
Have a sense that parts of you are pulling in different directions — one overworking, another shutting down, one sabotaging your efforts, and another trying to hold it all together? Feelings of overwhelm, helplessness, overthinking, overreacting, or ongoing relationship strain often point to an internal conflict or disconnect. Trauma, whether recent or long past, can fragment our inner system and keep the nervous system stuck in survival mode. When that happens, we lose access to calm, confidence, and connection — with ourselves, others and even Spirit.

New hours available on Saturdays! I am currently taking new individuals and couples and this can be your first step to healthy! The ability to create meaningful relationships in our lives is one of the most important skills anyone can possess, yet so often, we find ourselves struggling to connect deeply because of our past or present experiences. It brings me joy every time I see an individual or couple work through those issues to connect, heal, and move forward in a more satisfying relationship.

What is Internal Family Systems therapy?
Internal Family Systems (IFS) is a type of talk therapy that focuses on sub-personalities, or “families,” within a person, which may be made up of wounded parts and unpleasant emotions like anger and shame. These sub-personalities can come into conflict with each other and with an individual’s core Self, leaving the person feeling detached from positive traits such as the “8 C’s” of confidence, calmness, creativity, clarity, curiosity, courage, compassion, and connectedness. By healing a patient’s wounded parts, a therapist aims to restore balance and bring on positive change.
How does Internal Family Systems therapy work?
An IFS therapist will work with a patient to identify their particular sub-personalities, recognize the emotions powering them, and release them. By doing so, the patient should become more able to address any underlying problems their sub-personalities may have been trying to protect them from. Ultimately, a patient discovers ways to manage internal and external conflicts on their own, through techniques such as relaxation exercises, journaling, and making charts depicting the relationships between their core Self and their distinct parts.
Does Internal Family Systems therapy work?
IFS therapy has been shown to help people address conditions such as depression, anxiety, panic, fears and phobias, trauma, and substance use disorders. Some research has also found that it can help individuals deal with symptoms of physical health conditions like rheumatoid arthritis, such as pain, everyday functioning, depressive feelings, and low self-compassion. There are some conditions for which IFS treatment, specifically discussions of one’s “parts,” may be less appropriate, such as schizophrenia or other states that involve psychosis or paranoia.
How long does Internal Family Systems therapy take?
As with most forms of talk therapy, there is no set duration or end point for IFS therapy. After becoming comfortable with a therapist and the core concepts of IFS, some patients quickly make progress. While experiences vary, most will find that it is a relatively longer-term therapy, involving months and sometimes years of sessions.
