I provide individual therapy to adults managing issues such as anxiety, depression, grief and loss, low self-esteem, and relationship conflicts.
The power of therapy can be life changing. It is an opportunity for you to process present and past emotions, life stressors and transitions, all while strengthening coping skills and developing a deeper understanding of yourself. Therapy is a space to feel seen and heard in a supportive and non-judgmental environment. I am a strength-based therapist, as I believe in each individual's capacity for emotional growth and meaningful change in all stages of life. Through authenticity, collaborative discussions, and a little humor, I strive to create a warm therapeutic environment that promotes acceptance, empowerment, and healing.

I enjoy working with people struggling with anxiety, grief, depression, past trauma, or relationships issues.
I think therapy works best when clients can be honest, straightforward and process without judgment. Together, we will set goals to create a road map for achieving what you want in therapy. I try to encourage vulnerability and will challenge clients to grow through learning new skills and practicing those skills in their daily lives.

If you are struggling to cope with relationship difficulties, life transitions, grief and loss, or any overwhelming experience, whether past or present, I can help you navigate a path through the challenges you are facing.
EMDR therapy is based on a model that tells us that our wellbeing depends on how we have been able to process our past life experiences. Research demonstrates that brains are actually rewired during EMDR therapy, with a lasting improvement in a person's perspective on past, present and future life experiences. You may find that EMDR therapy can help you.

When life feels overwhelming, our minds can convince us that we are alone in our daily challenges and during our most difficult times. We get used to handling it on our own. I believe there is a better way. Working with a psychotherapist who can deeply connect with where you are on your healing journey can be transformative. Transformation might look like addressing symptoms, resolving a problem, or seeking something more. By guiding you to deeper insights and clearer understandings, together, we are better able to confront the barriers that may be holding you back from the life you want to live.

I have many years of experience helping people with stress & anxiety, depression, addiction, self esteem, grief & loss, trauma, and relationship/family issues.
Sometimes life can feel confusing, overwhelming, or hard to make sense of. In those moments, counseling can serve as a compass… offering direction when things feel uncertain and helping you feel more grounded in your next steps. My goal is to create a space where you feel understood, encouraged, and able to move toward healing and growth. I use a blend of approaches including CBT, EMDR, ACT and other therapies to help you create the change you’ve been looking for. I also believe faith can be an important part of healing, and for those who wish, I’m honored to integrate faith-based practices into our work together.

Grief Therapists
How long does therapy take for grief?
There is no exact timeline for grief counseling. Some people may start to feel better after just a few sessions, while others may take months or longer to feel relief. Some specific approaches, including some types of CBT, may involve a set number of sessions, or therapy may be open-ended until the patient determines they are ready to wrap up. Just as there is no right or wrong way to grieve, there is no right or wrong way to seek therapy for grief.

When should you seek therapy for grief?
Many people mistakenly believe that their grief needs to be debilitating or all-encompassing to warrant therapy. This is not the case. While people who experience severe, prolonged grief—particularly those who are considering self-harm or engaging in unhealthy substance use—are especially likely to benefit from therapy, so too are people whose grief is less intense but still interfering with well-being or daily functioning. In practice, almost anyone struggling to process a loss could benefit from grief counseling.

Can grief be managed without therapy?
Oftentimes, yes. Grief is a near-universal part of being human, and many find that their grief, while profound, does not stop them from participating in day-to-day life and steadily eases over time without outside help. For others, however, the harsh pain of early grief persists for months or years or leaves them unable to function. This group is especially likely to benefit from seeing a therapist, who can guide them through their grief and help them reconnect with the world.

What happens if grief is left untreated?
Because grief does not in itself necessitate therapy, untreated grief will often resolve on its own. However, for some people—particularly those who would qualify for a diagnosis of prolonged grief disorder—untreated grief can be a source of seemingly endless pain or lead them to withdraw from the world. In such cases, treatment can be indispensable, as it can help an individual adapt to the loss and start living again.
