As a certified Brainspotting therapist, I help you process stuck emotions and release patterns that no longer serve you.
You may have done personal growth work but still feel stuck in patterns of anxiety, people-pleasing, or emotional overwhelm. You might be navigating transitions, relational wounds, or the lingering effects of trauma. Together, we’ll make the unconscious conscious—exploring how your environment, culture, and relationships shape your experiences—so you can gain clarity, freedom, and self-trust and feel grounded and connected in daily life.

In therapy, we slow things down, pay attention to your body, and use Brainspotting, somatic work, and DBT-type skills so you can understand what’s happening inside you and actually respond differently.
You’re the one everyone leans on, but no one really knows how close you are to shutting down. You’re juggling old trauma, big feelings, and relationships that swing between “too close” and “too distant.” You overthink everything, freeze when it’s time to set boundaries, and then feel guilty for even having needs. You don’t want a perfect life; you just want to feel less on edge, less misunderstood, and more like yourself again.

Do you ever feel like different parts of you are at odds? Maybe one part of you wants to move forward and another part keeps pulling you back. The inner conflict may cause you to feel like you're being too much, but you're not. You're just made up of many incredible parts. We all are! Trained in Internal Family Systems (IFS), I help clients connect to their "parts" such as the inner critics, overachievers, people-pleasers, and even that part that just wants to stay in bed and scroll.

To trust your instincts again and build relationships that feel steady rather than draining. You want to understand the invisible wounds that shaped these patterns so you can move forward with clarity, self-respect, and a stronger sense of direction

Now accepting new clients! No waitlist. All sessions are virtual and can be attended from anywhere. Scheduling with me is easy, just visit my website at Rellawellness.com and select request appointment. Unhealed trauma can affect your life in many ways. It can lead to increased stress, anxiety, depression, and difficulty in relationships. Using talk therapy, EMDR, and Brainspotting, I tailor each session to your needs so you can gain insight, reduce distress, and move forward with more clarity and confidence.
I work with individuals who feel stuck, overwhelmed, or unsure of why they think, feel, or react the way they do. Some come in wanting a space to talk and process what is going on in their lives, while others are ready to go deeper and understand how their past experiences are still impacting them today. Many of my clients struggle with anxiety, trauma, relationship challenges, or major life transitions. Together, we can create a space where you can safely explore your experiences, gain insight, and begin to make meaningful changes at your own pace.

My predominant modalities are EMDR, Brainspotting, CBT, and the Townsend Method, a competence and character growth model, from which I primarily work with trauma/PTSD, anxiety and stress, depression, and men's issues.
What’s your story? Mine involves loss at a young age and a mid-life career change. The reality is that no human is immune from heartache, loss, fear, insecurities, and traumas big and small. If you’re alive, you’ve experienced some STUFF, and you don’t have to carry the burden alone. I have almost a decade of experience in counseling, helping people step out of pain and into freedom.

I use Brainspotting, CBT, and trauma-informed therapy, often integrating body-based work to support deeper healing.
I work with individuals and couples who want to better understand themselves, their relationships, and patterns that may be keeping them stuck. Many clients come to therapy feeling overwhelmed, navigating life transitions, relationship stress, trauma, or anxiety. Others feel disconnected from themselves and want a space to slow down and talk openly without judgment. I provide a calm, supportive, and collaborative environment where we build insight, strengthen communication, and work toward lasting change with greater clarity, confidence, and emotional balance.

Brainspotting Therapists
How does brainspotting work?
Brainspotting works by using eye positioning to identify and process traumatic memories so that a client is better able to move forward and live with less fear. The theory behind brainspotting is that by identifying where a person looks when thinking of traumatic memories, a therapist will be able to guide them to focus on that spot and work with the client to get them out of the “fight, flight, freeze” response associated with the traumatic memory.

Is brainspotting an evidence-based therapy?
Brainspotting is a theory-based alternative therapy. It is one of the newest forms of treatment, so very little research has been completed that examines the mechanism by which it works. The theory behind brainspotting is that eye position can be linked to areas of the brain that store and process memory.

How effective is brainspotting?
Because it is such a new treatment, the effectiveness of brainspotting cannot be quantified. Some people have found it to be effective on its own, or in conjunction with other types of therapy. It is considered an alternative therapy, and it is popular with people for whom more traditional therapies have proven ineffective.

How long does brainspotting take to work?
A typical brainspotting session will last between 60 to 90 minutes. There is no required number of sessions needed to complete brainspotting therapy, but in many cases it is delivered over the course of about six sessions. Clients are encouraged to rate their level of distress prior to a session and again following a session, and to track progress.
