"Life ultimately means taking the responsibility to find the right answer to its problems & to fulfill the tasks which it constantly sets for each individual." - Victor Frankl. When working with me, you can expect to feel safe, supported, & appreciated. However, you can also expect to feel challenged & encouraged. It is my goal to work with you (not just FOR you) to help align your values with your actions to help you be the person you want to be & live the kind of life you want to live. Life can present challenges & opportunities in many unique forms. Sometimes, it is hard to distinguish between the two.

Partner 1: "I reach for you, but it feels like you’re already gone. I’m left wondering if I matter to you at all." Partner 2: "When you come close, I feel the pressure to be perfect. I can’t get it right, so I pull back to protect us both." These unspoken messages live under the surface in many relationships. One partner is aching for connection, the other is protecting against pain—both are lonely, both are longing, both are stuck. I help couples break free from this anxious–avoidant cycle so they can feel safe, seen, and deeply connected again.

I specialize in the "between"—the space where communication breaks down, morale fractures, and relationship roles collide. With 20+ years of experience in organizational development combined with clinical marriage and family therapy, I help individuals, high-conflict couples, and professional teams disarm the hidden tensions that stall progress. Together, we move you from a state of "communication inability" to a clear, shared articulation of your goals.

I imagine you’re tired of feeling stressed, anxious, and irritable. I can only imagine that you despise feeling this way but just don’t know what to do about it. To give you credit where credit is due, you’ve probably tried so many things to feel better, to feel different, to feel mentally healthy. But still, you find yourself tired of feeling this way. And now you’re tired of feeling tired. I hear you, I feel you, and I see you. On top of that, I’d love to support you. You deserve to experience relief while learning ways you may cope with and overcome these feelings. That’s right, you deserve to experience mental wellness.

Most of the people I work with come to me after trying multiple approaches that haven’t worked—and they’re frustrated that nothing has led to real change. They may be dealing with ADHD, autism, anxiety, challenging behavior, or burnout, along with difficulties with focus, motivation, and emotional regulation. Some are parents seeking help for their child, while others are students and adults managing increasing academic, work, and life demands. With experience across clinical and school settings, I help them move forward by providing clear direction, practical strategies, and a structured path toward meaningful progress.

At times, many individuals feel adrift in life. Experiencing feelings of numbness, intense sadness, or worry can leave one feeling like coping is impossible and motivation is far out of reach. Even in the darkest of times, however, relief is possible.

The purpose of therapy is to take what you have learned and apply it outside. It is not always easy to make changes, and change can be scary, but once you put your words into action, the change can be beautiful. I have worked with people who struggle with substance use issues, depression, anxiety, and families. I have a passion for working with people in the BiPOC community. I want my clients to believe in themselves and what they can accomplish without needing external validation. My goal is for you to feel confident in your decision-making to process your needs/issues without relying on others.

You might be feeling anxious lately, without knowing the cause, and this anxiety is making you feel isolated and alone. Or perhaps it's harder to muster up the energy for life, - you feel heavy or irritable and the things you used to do with ease are now drudgery. You're not sure why. Confused and lost in a maze of difficult emotions, you don't know what to do. You know that there is more to yourself and your life if you can just change the way you are feeling, but you don't know how.

My path to becoming a therapist emerged from an innate way of relating to people. I have always been deeply interested in human behavior, emotional worlds, and the stories we carry. Over time, this natural curiosity became a calling to support others through healing, self-discovery, and transformation. I view therapy as both a science and an art, where structure and creativity work together to foster meaningful and lasting change.I believe healing is not about fixing what is broken, but about reconnecting with what is already alive within you. Therapy is a space to explore, create, and grow toward a life that feels more grounded.

FAQ - Therapist Gender
As a man, why might I want to see a male therapist?
There are many reasons a man might wish to work with a male therapist, including a degree of shared identity, which may help client and therapist connect to each other and allow for a more free-flowing discussion of issues that can be deeply personal. Some men may feel more comfortable talking to a male therapist about relationship concerns, the pressures they feel around the roles society and family place on men, career or job challenges, self-esteem, or anger problems. For some men who have not had a male role models in their lives, a good male therapist may be especially helpful.

How can I find out about a therapist’s experience treating men?
Individuals looking for treatment should feel comfortable directly asking a therapist about their history treating men overall and the issues that arise in therapy with men. A good therapist will be happy to discuss such matters as well as their educational background, approach to treatment, and how they think they can aid a prospective client.

Can clients benefit from having a therapist of the same gender?
Therapy is not gender-specific, but some men as well as women feel more comfortable opening up about their experiences and history with therapists of a specific gender. An individual may feel that they have to explain less background information and be on the same page more quickly, particularly when discussing gender-specific challenges. That said, a good clinician can transcend most if not all gender concerns. Ultimately, the most important factor in therapy is the connection and trust the client is able to build with the practitioner.

Would a male therapist have specific training in treating men?
Generally, no. There are no certifications for treating men specifically, but there are continuing education classes that therapists may take that focus on treating men as a group. There are many therapists who focus on men and male issues in their treatment and therefore have experience and expertise in this domain.
