I enjoy helping adults navigate a variety of needs in mental health, including healing from abuse, managing stressors, moving through grief, changing patterns of relating that aren't fulfilling anymore, and finding ways to better communicate and set boundaries. I am passionate about working with individuals in the LGBTQ+ community, and I have a special interest in working with those navigating Bisexuality/Pansexuality/Spaces that are Non-Binary in nature and working with those navigating consensually Non-Monogamous/Polyamorous relationships. Before venturing into private practice, I gathered years of experience in both outpatient counseling settings and secure in-patient units. Children and adult women are my primary areas of specialization, but I enjoy working with a diverse client population. I currently provide individual counseling for both children and adults targeting a wide variety of needs. LGBTQIA+ and BIPOC ally.

I became a Marriage and Family Therapist because I enjoy processing with individuals and listening to personal journeys to find a resolution. I was a High School performance art major and find this skill set benefical in providing supports through visual cues using various therapeutic approaches and modalities. I specialize in working with children and families in child welfare. I enjoy working with young children and teens as these are challenging developmental years, trauma and distress from systemic and familial patterns of behaviors, coupled with low parenting, coping, decision-making and problem-solving skills.

Sometimes after a traumatic event or significant life change, we are left feeling powerless, uncertain of who we are or our role in life, and hopeless about how we can move forward. Maybe we have low self-esteem or even have thought about harm or death. At Empowered Living Counseling, I often see clients who have experienced trauma, are searching for their identity, and are working to take back control of their lives. I take a collaborative and non-judgmental approach to support clients in finding meaning and empowerment, safety and healing from their traumatic experiences, and figuring out who they are and what they want in life.
