Kada enjoys working with children, teenagers and adults. Kada graduated with her Master’s in Mental Health Counseling from The University of Florida. She genuinely cares for her clients and puts a lot of time and effort into making sure they are getting the help that they need. She takes a trauma-informed approach and uses attachment-based theory in her practice. She also utilizes CBT, Person-Centered and Mindfulness Based Interventions. When working with children, she loves using Play Therapy Techniques as play is a child’s primary form of communication and processing.

My practice is generally focused on adolescents and young adults. Adolescence is a time of constant growth, of which can often be coupled with fear and feelings of inadequacy. It is normal for adolescents to seek autonomy and gain independence but they may feel uncertain about their ability to do so. External pressures and responsibilities can increase feelings of anxiety and depression. In addition, the current trend of social isolation can intensify negative feelings. A trusted mental health counselor can assist such children in developing effective communication and coping strategies.

Patrick has more than eight years of experience in the mental health and addictions field, having worked in many different settings with diverse populations. Patrick is a veteran of the U.S. Coast Guard and the U.S. Army, where he served multiple combat deployments. His areas of clinical expertise include: co-occurring disorders, trauma, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, male sexual trauma, depression, anxiety, substance abuse/addictions, anger management, crisis intervention, childhood issues, grief/loss, couples and families.
