Hi, I’m Jennifer. I am a licensed clinician and co-owner of Waves of Clarity Counseling. With over five years of experience, I have had the pleasure of working with amazing clients to overcome their daily challenges. I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) in the state of Florida. I graduated from Florida International University with my undergraduate degree in Psychology, and later earned my graduate degree in Clinical Psychology from Barry University. I have over six years of experience in substance abuse treatment and the treatment of co-occurring disorders, and 10 years of experience in education.

Truth be told, you don't need to know where to start, just that you want something to be different. Your willingness to examine yourself is what you bring to sessions and my experience and skill is where I meet you in those sessions. My role is to challenge you when you’re stuck and keep you accountable, providing education and practical skills to use in daily life, and support you through the discomfort of change and vulnerability - and to celebrate the successes that follow.

I am passionate about working with children, teens, and adults who are experiencing symptoms of anxiety, trauma, grief, depression, anger, behavioral issues, ADHD, sensory processing issues, bullying, or low self-worth. I have been working with children, teens, adults, and families in various settings for 25+ years. Most of the clients I work with are between the ages of 3 to 13. The majority of the statements or concerns I hear are my child is very strong willed, struggling with impulsivity, spiraling with anxious thoughts, or is easily overwhelmed. I also provide compassion and support for parents on this journey with their child.

My professional area of focus is working with adults who have ADHD. I have specialized training in working with adults with ADHD and various executive functioning concerns.
