You don’t have to keep carrying it alone. Many of my clients feel overwhelmed by trauma, anxiety, grief, or the strain of high-stress lives. Others come to therapy feeling disconnected or stuck, sometimes without even knowing why. I understand how hard it is to keep going when you’re exhausted, uncertain, or in pain. As a first responder with 15 years of service, I bring both empathy and firsthand experience to helping people heal, reconnect with themselves, and rediscover hope.

Whether you're carrying childhood wounds, struggling with self-worth, or navigating painful family dynamics—I offer a space where you don't have to explain everything.
It's impossible to keep it all together— but somehow you do. You're the one everyone else relies on, the strong one, the helper, but deep down, you’re exhausted and craving space to finally put yourself first.
Therapy with me is real talk in a safe space. I’m not here to judge you, fix you, or tell you to “just stay positive.” I’m here to sit with you in the hard stuff, to help you untangle the patterns that no longer serve you, and to challenge you with honesty and care.

One of the bravest choices a person can make is to come to counseling. What I hope is that the time together is where you will feel listened to, feel safe, and know you are not along as we explore why you have come.

Asher Fox is a pioneer in the integration of several fields of study into a comprehensive approach designed to create rapid resolutions for acute emotional issues and their underlying subconscious causes. His approach simultaneously addresses the subconscious, conscious and environmental levels of human behavior in a way that creates generative change and lasting lifelong results. The nature of generative change is that, while resolving the symptoms for which you are being treated, you learn skills and have emotional breakthroughs that create self generating and positive changes in other areas of your life as well.

Why is it that we are so much harsher on ourselves than we are on others? Sometimes it’s as if our inner critic has a zero-tolerance policy for ourselves. Even when we’re hurting, our critic might jump in and say “You shouldn’t be feeling this way, suck it up.” It can be hard to manage our pain (or outright heal!) if our inner critic is ruthless and unrelenting. If it feels like your critic is beating you down, I’m here to help. Much of my experience has focused on helping adults who struggle with anxiety, depression, imposter syndrome, trauma, identity issues, and relationship difficulties.

Self Esteem Therapists
When should a person seek therapy for low self-esteem?
When self-esteem problems begin to disrupt the healthy daily functioning of an individual, it may be a good time to look into therapy. If a person finds that they are not engaging with friends for fear of being judged, not completing work assignments because they don’t think they’re capable, or not finding romantic love because they don’t feel they’re worthy of it, a therapist may be able to help.
What are the signs of low self-esteem?
Low self-esteem is a common issue that can affect a person's mental and emotional well-being. Some common signs of low self-esteem include negative self-talk, perfectionism, social anxiety, difficulty making decisions, an inability to set boundaries, people-pleasing, and others. A lack of belief in oneself or one’s abilities and a feeling of not being worthy or deserving underlie most of these characteristics.
What causes low self-esteem?
Feelings of low self-worth can begin in childhood or adulthood. Being raised by a highly critical parent or growing up feeling constant disapproval can stay with a person well into adulthood. Specific issues in adulthood may also be a cause of low self-esteem. An unhappy relationship, a dysfunctional work or school experience can impact a person’s feelings of self-worth.
How can therapy improve self-esteem?
Therapists can help identify negative thought patterns that keep the client stuck in a loop of destructive self-talk and develop coping skills to change the voice in their head. A therapist can help with goal-setting, so that clients are better able to stay on task and build confidence from successfully completing work they’re proud of. Coaching a client on how to better communicate can improve relationships. These skills can result in someone with low self-esteem feeling empowered and living with less fear.
