Perhaps you’ve spent years trying to be “perfect” or to feel "good enough" and yet good enough never feels enough. Or maybe the noise of others’ control and desires stifles your own voice. You could be the person constantly taking care of others where you don’t know what it’s like to tend to your own needs. Or perhaps you’ve grown accustomed to hearing that you’re “too sensitive” or “emotional” where you’ve wondered why you feel things so strongly in comparison to others. Whether its shame, stress, life transitions, trauma, relationship issues, anxiety, or another life struggle, we can work together through your adversity.

i work with people who are feeling overwhelmed, disconnected, or stuck—especially those struggling with anxiety, trauma, low self-esteem, substance use, or a complicated relationship with food and body image. Many of my clients appear high-functioning on the outside but feel like they’re just barely holding it together inside. I also support professionals and emerging leaders through executive coaching, helping them align personal healing with their purpose and performance.

I believe in the impactful nature of relationships—whether with others, ourselves, or between therapists and clients. They can be the cornerstone of our lives, profoundly influencing our well-being. The individuals and couples I work with are often motivated to nurture their relationships by exploring and understanding their emotions, thoughts, and behaviors to gain insight and perspective. I appreciate that every person will come to therapy with different goals and motivations in mind, and I value creating a safe space for you to work towards whatever those might be for you.

I work with women, teens, young adults, and children (6+) who are tired of feeling anxious, overwhelmed, emotionally stuck, or like they have to hold everything together alone. Many of my clients come in carrying trauma, relationship wounds, perfectionism, low self-worth, or big life transitions. Therapy with me feels human: equal parts depth, honesty, safety, and laughter. I believe healing happens best when clients feel genuinely known, welcomed, and free to show up exactly as they are. Together, we make sense of the hard things while building a life that feels lighter, more connected, and more fully theirs.

I am passionate about working with adults of all ages and backgrounds who desire to be seen and heard, to work on personal growth, or simply to just feel better. Many people come to therapy feeling overwhelmed, anxious, or weighed down by life experiences that feel difficult to manage alone. Stress, trauma, and major life transitions can begin to impact emotional well-being, relationships, and daily functioning. In therapy, we work together to develop coping strategies, create space for healing, and gently process past or present stressors. The goal is to help you feel more grounded, supported, and empowered as you move toward greater balance, acceptance, and peace of mind.

FAQ - Therapist Gender
Does it matter what gender my therapist is?
In general, there is no relationship between a therapist’s gender and their efficacy. Some clients, however, prefer to see therapists of a particular gender, whether due to their own past experiences with men and women, or because they feel more comfortable with a therapist of their own gender due to shared life experiences or perspectives. Considering what one wants to address in therapy can help someone determine whether their therapist’s gender may matter or improve their therapeutic experience. The most important consideration is that a client is able to build a trusting relationship with their therapist.

Should I see a female therapist?
Many people—not just women—prefer to see a female therapist. For women, this could be because they believe that they will be able to better connect with a woman, and that a female therapist will be able to relate to their specific challenges and personal issues. It may be particularly beneficial for women to see a female therapist, for example, for gender-specific issues, such as sexism in the workplace, relationship issues, and gender roles. The most important factor in therapy is the client-therapist connection, and a therapist's gender as well as many other factors may play an important role in this.

Do therapists get specific training to help with women’s concerns?
Therapists are trained to provide care to clients of any gender. However, some therapists may pursue additional training in feminist therapy, gender-specific issues, or women’s mental health. Female clients may wish to ask prospective therapists whether they have received specific training in the client’s primary area(s) of concern, or whether they have worked extensively with women on issues similar to their own.

How can I inquire about a therapist’s experience in treating women?
It’s OK—even encouraged!—to ask a therapist directly whether and how often they have treated women in the past, or whether they have treated women dealing with the client’s most prominent concern(s). Competent therapists will be happy to share their educational background, preferred treatment modalities, and prior client experience to help an individual find the therapist best suited to their needs.
