I also enjoy working with women (single or married) and mothers facing difficulties related to loneliness, marriage, divorce, pregnancy and parenting.
I offer weekly, biweekly, or monthly sessions of counseling or life-coaching. I do deep work with my clients & enjoy seeing rapid, but long-lasting growth. I like to see my clients reach higher levels of functioning than they ever anticipated. Sessions will involve honest conversations aimed at making your life better. I want to know your story: where you've been, where you're at, & where you want to go. We'll dig, discover, & then empower you to choose the best course of action based on insights gained. I offer individual, couples, marriage, family or group sessions. You can even invite a friend to join you in the sessions.

If today was difficult, let me guide you, or a family member, toward a better tomorrow. I believe that connection and support are essential when facing challenges. That’s why I’m here! Together we will work to better understand your inner self, what triggers your emotional reactions, what motivates you, what drives your interactions with the surrounding world. We will learn what gets you stuck and brings you back to the same place. I’m here for you through the tears, fears, and angry moments that come up during your journey. I look forward to the day when laughter, smiles, and peace are more frequent. Until then, let’s talk awhile.

I help busy women who feel really stressed and tired because they're trying so hard to be perfect.
Hey! I get it. You’re a successful woman who feels overwhelmed by anxiety and burnout due to the pressure of perfectionism and fear of failure. Your issues may include a constant feeling of not being good enough, the inability to relax or enjoy accomplishments, or a pervasive fear of making mistakes. Your needs likely revolve around finding a sense of calm, learning effective stress management techniques, and redefining success. Your goals might include achieving a healthier work-life balance, and cultivating self-compassion. Ultimately, you want to feel confident, content, and fulfilled in both your personal and professional life.

Female Therapists

Does it matter what gender my therapist is?

In general, this is not an important factor, as there is no relationship between a therapist’s gender and their efficacy. Some clients, however, prefer to see therapists of a particular gender, whether due to their own past experiences with men and women, or ingrained beliefs about how people of different genders think and behave. Exploring the roots of such preferences and considering what one wants to address in therapy can help someone determine whether their therapist’s gender truly matters to them.

Should I see a female therapist?

Many people—not just women—prefer to see a female therapist, either because they believe that a woman will be able to relate to their specific challenges (for example, sexism in the workplace) or because they imagine feeling more comfortable disclosing sensitive information to a woman. Such beliefs may not turn out to be accurate, however, and adhering too rigidly to a gender preference can at times hinder a client from finding the best therapeutic match.

Do therapists get specific training to help with women’s concerns?

Therapists are trained to provide care to clients of any gender. However, some therapists—both men and women—may pursue additional training in feminist therapy, gender-specific issues, or women’s mental health. Female clients may wish to ask prospective therapists whether they have received specific training in the client’s primary area(s) of concern, or whether they have worked extensively with women on issues similar to their own.

How can I inquire about a therapist’s experience in treating women?

It’s OK—even encouraged!—to ask a therapist directly whether and how often they have treated women in the past, or whether they have treated women dealing with the client’s most prominent concern(s). Competent therapists will be happy to share their educational background, preferred treatment modalities, and prior client experience to help an individual find the therapist best suited to their needs.
