As a clinician, I find purpose in guiding clients along their path to self-actualization. It is both my professional and personal belief that we are all deserving of a life of enlightenment and empowerment. Through my work, I assist clients in the process of identifying individual strengths and limitations, as an essential foundation to the development of one’s true self. In my practice, I incorporate a combination of empirically-based techniques and eclectic therapeutic modalities tailored to the specific needs of my clients. My ideal client is engaged in the therapeutic process; someone who is open and motivated for change.

Despite some level of hesitation or reluctance, YOU are ready to give yourself a chance to address those challenges impacting your functioning and overall happiness. It's fine if you're not 100% sure about therapy, but you know for sure you want something different than your current reality.

Finding a new therapist is probably the worst part about the therapy process. Being vulnerable with a complete stranger is terribly hard. While I do my best to take things at your pace, it won't change that vulnerability is tough. I'll answer any personal questions you have and bring a great sense of humor. Most importantly, I'll be honest and direct about what's best for you. I bring curiosity, compassion, and creativity into our work, along with practical tools you can actually use in your day-to-day life. My hope is that you leave each session feeling clearer, more confident, and with a stronger sense of direction.

Hi there, I specialize in working with adults navigating anxiety, life transitions, and the unique experiences that come with being neurodivergent (including ADHD, autism, and sensory sensitivity). I understand that there’s no “one size fits all” approach to healing, and that being truly understood can be transformative. Reaching out for support can be one of the hardest and bravest steps to take. Whether you're feeling overwhelmed, misunderstood, anxious, or simply unsure of how to move forward, you're not alone. My goal is to offer a space where you feel seen, heard, and safe.

FAQ - Teenage and Adolescent Therapists
What does therapy for teenagers look like?
When a therapist works with a teenager, the pair will talk about what the teen is struggling with and explore solutions, which may involve interpersonal skills, coping strategies, medication, or lifestyle changes related to sleep, diet, and exercise. Different therapists employ different modalities, but most involve a combination of conversation and skill building.

How long does therapy for teenagers generally take to work?
There’s variability in teenagers’ experiences and challenges; some may begin to improve from therapy within a few weeks while others may take several months or longer. Teens can discuss their progress with their therapist periodically to assess how they’re improving and any changes to the treatment plan that could potentially accelerate that progress.

How do you encourage a teenager to go to therapy?
It’s helpful to express your concern and love while framing therapy as an opportunity to explore a tool that could help improve their life; just like they practice baseball or dance, now they can practice their emotional skills. Give your teen control over the process where you can—maybe by weighing in on choice of therapist and signaling that therapy involves confidentiality, so a parent need not know all that is discussed in sessions.

How do you prepare teens for therapy?
You can prepare your teenager for therapy by describing what the process will look like and setting expectations for timeline, if requested. You can explain that the first session may begin with an assessment phase, that they can describe their experiences but that the therapist will ask questions too, and that it may take time to feel comfortable opening up. Ask how they’re feeling about the process and answer any questions calmly and supportively.
