Therapy can help you enhance your awareness of how your unrealistic or negative beliefs and thinking patterns about yourself and others undermine the quality of your life. Therapy can help you change those dysfunctional thoughts and beliefs. These changes in thinking will go hand-in-hand with improvements in your moods, decisions, quality of your relationships, and the quality of your life. Therapy can help you overcome grief and loss, navigate major changes and life stages, enhance motivation, improve coping skills for dealing with stress, anxiety, and fear, and learn to deal with anger, rage, frustration, and disappointment more constructively.

Whether it's anxiety, panic attacks, trauma, relationship confusion, burnout, OCD, low self-worth, or big life questions that keep you up at night - you're in the right place.
This is your space to be honest, with me and with yourself. We’ll look at what’s keeping you stuck, gently challenge the lies your brain’s been shouting, and build tools that actually work in real life. When it’s time to go deeper, I use EMDR to help process old pain and stories you didn’t choose but have been carrying for too long.

I specialize in treating adults with OCD, panic disorder, and anxiety disorders, especially those who've turned to substances to manage unbearable anxiety.
You've tried everything to make the intrusive thoughts stop. You perform rituals "just one more time," check repeatedly, or reach for substances hoping to quiet the mental storm. From the outside, you look fine. Inside, you're trapped in an exhausting cycle stealing your peace and your life. You avoid situations that trigger panic. You've canceled plans, turned down opportunities, watched your world shrink. You wake up already anxious about being anxious. Maybe you use alcohol to cope, then beat yourself up afterward. The worst part? Feeling like no one truly understands what you're going through.

I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in Florida with experience treating anxiety, trauma, depression, OCD-related symptoms, stress, and relationship patterns.
You are not looking for someone to just nod while you explain why you are overwhelmed. You are looking for someone who can help you understand why your mind keeps looping, why your body keeps bracing, and how to respond with more clarity. I blend neuroscience with real-world humor (because sometimes you have to laugh to keep from crying), practical tools, and a deep understanding of how stress and anxiety show up not just in your mind but in your body. Whether you’re struggling with anxiety, emotional overwhelm, people-pleasing, or just trying to stop procrastinating out of pure existential dread, I’ve got you.

I work with queer folks experiencing OCD and trauma.
Let me guess, people say you’re funny, strong & resilient. Holding everything together even when you’re unravelling inside, self-aware but your thoughts still spiral and sometimes you feel far away from everything, even yourself. You joke and brush things off but feeling safe and comfortable with yourself feels out of reach, always one step away from burning out. If you’re tired of feeling like your brain is your enemy, tired of just joking and pretending you’re fine; you’ve come to the right place. You’re ready to rest without guilt, to exist without constantly proving your worth, to trust yourself again.

I work with adolescents and adults navigating trauma, PTSD, OCD, anxiety, and depression.
You don’t have to have it all figured out to start therapy. Maybe you’ve been trying to “handle it” on your own, but it’s starting to wear you down. Life can feel overwhelming, especially when you’re carrying trauma, feeling worn down by anxiety, or constantly stuck in your own head. Often, different parts of us show up in hard moments. There may be a part that worries, a part that shuts down, a part that pushes you to keep going, or a part that feels stuck. Instead of fighting those parts, we’ll slow down and get curious about them with compassion.

Obsessive-Compulsive (OCD) Therapists
How long does OCD treatment take?
Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD) is often treated on a weekly or twice-weekly schedule, depending on symptom severity and the client’s preferences. Some clients may start to see a noticeable improvement in symptoms in as little as six weeks, but it’s also possible, especially in more severe cases, for treatment to take several months to a year before significant progress is made.

What happens if OCD is not treated?
Some people with OCD, especially those with mild symptoms, may find that they are able to adapt reasonably well to life with the condition, even if their symptoms never resolve completely. However, many people, particularly those whose symptoms are severe at the outset, find that their obsessions and compulsions grow more intrusive with time, making it harder to maintain relationships, hold down a job, or navigate the world successfully.

Are there medications for OCD?
Medication can be used to treat OCD. The class of drugs most often prescribed are selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors, or SSRIs, which include fluvoxamine (under the brand name Luvox), fluoxetine (Prozac), and sertraline (Zoloft), among others. In cases of treatment-resistant OCD, other classes of medication, such as tricyclic antidepressants or atypical antipsychotics, may be prescribed. Medication is frequently used in conjunction with therapy.

Can OCD come back after treatment?
Yes. Major life transitions, periods of stress, or other factors can cause symptoms to return or, if they were never fully eradicated, to ramp back up in intensity. For some, these relapses are brief and do not require additional treatment; identifying specific triggers and practicing the skills learned in therapy can help speed their course. For others, returning to therapy for a brief period can help address the underlying stress and strengthen coping mechanisms.
