I use EMDR, CBT, and psychodynamic therapy to get to the root of what's keeping you stuck, not just manage symptoms.
My ideal clients are adults carrying the weight of trauma. People who've had experiences that left a mark and are ready to start working through them, even if they're not sure how. I also specialize in working with LGBTQ+ individuals, including those exploring identity, navigating relationships, or processing rejection and discrimination. Many of my clients have felt unseen or misunderstood by previous providers. I offer a space that is affirming, non-judgmental, and honest. Whether you're dealing with anxiety, depression, or PTSD, you deserve care that actually fits who you are and how you live.

Hello and welcome! I’m not a conventional therapist! Clients have told me they appreciate my authenticity, sarcasm and relatability, and I often use humor and pop culture references when appropriate as I feel this helps diffuse difficult topics and often enhances the therapeutic relationship. I tailor my work with clients to each client's specific needs and personality style. Couples therapy- Are you feeling stuck in your relationship? Have one or both of you tossed around the dreaded D-word (divorce)?

I use modalities such as EMDR and somatic psychotherapy to help clients dig deeper in their healing and finally learn how to reintroduce wholeness back into their lives.
I believe that true emotional healing comes through holistically tending to the body, mind and spirit. I offer full range psychotherapy services that I combine with several Somatic or body-based techniques. As a registered Yoga Teacher, I have been known to incorporate meditation, breathing or physical postures in my sessions. The research shows that trauma, grief and the after effects of some of our experiences are stored in our bodies. What better way to heal or release them from our bodies than to intentionally use body exercises to move this harmful trauma energy out for good. I work with new mothers, children and families.

Hello, my name is Jacob Price, LMHC. I've been licensed in the state of Florida since 2013 and running a solo private practice since 2017. It's my belief that the most important part of therapy is the relationship between the therapist and client. Opening up in therapy can feel vulnerable and scary at first so it's important that the environment is one where the client feels understood and not judged. When a person is able to clearly express themselves and process how they feel in a supportive environment, they have more clarity in understanding themselves and their life circumstances.

Our therapists specialize in therapies such as EMDR, Hypnotherapy, Mindfulness, TIR, CBT, TF-CBT, and Play Therapy.
Stress is something we all experience. Did you know that we are addicted to stress hormones? Our brain actually finds ways for us to become stressed so cortisol can be released. Seeking therapy can be uncomfortable and scary at times. Meeting someone new and telling them your life story is a foreign concept for many of us. We know how stressful it can be, which is why we want to help you feel as comfortable as possible. Therapy is a way to change the old thinking patterns your brain is used to. Our group practice has over 20 years of combined experience in the mental health field.

I’m trained in EMDR.
When certain challenges arise in life, it can be difficult to figure out what the next step is. It can be especially difficult to deal with life's circumstances when you feel like you have to do it on your own, or when you're not really sure where to look for answers. What would it look like if you could find yourself fully empowered to find those answers within yourself? As your therapist, I will stand alongside you and work to help you find healing. Together, we will identify and work through the barriers keeping you from feeling whole and complete... whether those barriers exist in the past, present, or concerns about the future.

EMDR Therapists
Who is EMDR for?
EMDR was initially developed as a treatment for individuals with Post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), for whom memories of a deeply distressing experience can be inadvertently triggered by random everyday events. The procedure has since been applied in the treatment of many other conditions. For example, it is used by some therapists to treat anxiety disorders including panic and phobias, depression, dissociative disorders, eating disorders, obsessive-compulsive disorders, and some personality disorders. It is suitable for adolescents and adults.

Why do people need EMDR?
People need EMDR as a way to manage distressing memories that in some way hamper the ability to function in the present. The procedure is believed to target the way memories are stored in the brain. Evidence indicates that past disturbing experiences cause ongoing distress because they were not adequately processed, and when such memories are triggered in the present, they are accompanied by all the emotions, thoughts, and physical sensations as the initial experience.

What problems does EMDR treat?
First and foremost, EMDR is intended as a treatment for PTSD, to defuse distressing memories that intrude on and impair everyday functioning. It is also often used to help those who are subject to panic attacks, phobias, and other forms of anxiety. In addition, EMDR has been used to treat individuals with depression, eating disorders, and personality disorders.

What happens in EMDR therapy?
First the therapist takes an individual’s history, and then the therapist and client decide which distressing experience(s) will be the target(s) of the exercise, delivered via a side-to-side visual stimulus requiring lateral eye movements. The client will be asked to activate thoughts, feelings, and any body sensations related to the troubling experience. The eye movements are said to reduce the emotional charge of the memory, so that the experience can then be safely discussed with the therapist and digested, minimizing its ability to trigger anxiety.
